My family cooks numerous meals for each other. The meal I enjoy the most is my family's Mexican dip, which my mother makes. It seems to bring everybody together, including my family and friends. This dip contains three layers--cream cheese, chili, and shredded cheese--cooked until the cheese melts.

My mother usually cooks it by herself, but sometimes my family or friends will be in the kitchen waiting. They're lingering around because they are too eager to feast on the Mexican dip. Once the dip is finished, we are all constantly impatient for it to cool from the microwave, and the ultimate consequence is burning ourselves.

My family and friends usually enjoy my mother's specialty dish during football season. The best way to fully enjoy a football game is watching it while enjoying a platter of appetizing food. My family constantly has their friends over, and I have my friends over at my house continuously to watch the football games. The adults bring some kind of their enjoyable food to our home, while the children come to eat all their parents' cooking. Everybody comes together, mainly, to watch our team--the Philadelphia Eagles--and eat each other's food.

My mother presents her delicious Mexican dip on a large, rounded plate. Depending on the number of people present for the dish, she will make more than one so that all her guests have the opportunity to have some. She brings out numerous bags of corn chips so there is some way everybody can eat her dip. Since we are usually watching a football game when we're eating the Mexican dip, there are many other foods we enjoy along with it, like wings, popcorn, burgers, hot dogs, and chicken, with beer for the adults and soda for the children.

This particular dish is my favorite compared with all my family's other cooking because I enjoy it with the people I love and care about. There is never a time that I eat my mother's Mexican dip without anyone to eat it along with me. Whoever I enjoy it with, we cannot eat this dish in a bad mood. It brings happiness out of everyone who enjoys it with the people close to them. For me, it's my family and friends because we are all always around each other when we enjoy my mother's Mexican dip. When it's not during a football game, her scrumptious dip brings together everyone who wants to be around their loved ones.
