Shrimp & Chicken Alfredo
Justin Ashley
When I was in my junior year of high school, I ran cross country for my school's team. Our coach told us that we needed to eat a lot of carbohydrates in our diets to give us energy before our races. My mom started making different types of pastas, and I enjoyed chicken and shrimp Alfredo the most.
I had the Alfredo about two or three times a week during the season and never got tired of it. It always hit the right spot and was the best thing to eat before and after practices and races.
Making shrimp and chicken Alfredo is very easy. Since it is such an easy recipe, it is something that I could make for myself. When I think that the noodles are done, I use a fork to pick one out and throw it against the wall. If it sticks, then they are ready to be served. You can either mix both the shrimp and chicken together into one dish, or you can make them separately in two different dishes. I prefer to mix them together.
Even for the Valentine's Days following my junior year, I always cooked Alfredo for my mom and my girlfriend at the time. Although I am a small person, I always seem to eat a lot of the Alfredo after it is made. I usually eat about three or four plates of it and usually about an hour later I eat a little bit more.
