Lemon Meringue Pie

In my family, we have our famous lemon meringue pie. Only a couple of people in my family know how to make this scrumptious pie. I am one of those few people. And I have a couple of stories to tell about this pie.
The first time that I attempted to make this lemon pie, I didn't know exactly how to separate an egg, so I ended up making a mess of that. I had egg yolk in the egg white, and I had egg shells in both the egg white and egg yolk. That turned out terrible, so I ended up throwing the stuff away and starting over, but the second time around I got my mom to separate the egg for me.
I make these pies when we have a family dinner or for special occasions such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter. I have a cousin who always steals a whole pie at each one of these functions, so I always have to make at least three.
