Pirate Palate - Lasagna - Jameka Atkinson

Jameka Atkinson

My favorite dish is lasagna. There is really nothing special about it. I am really not sure how this dish became a part of my family. As far as I know, it has been in my family ever since I could remember. I have always liked lasagna since I was a little girl.

Not all of the members of my family make lasagna--only the ones who have patience. That's two people: my mother, Valerie Atkinson, and my cousin, Semonica Atkinson.

This dish is only made on special occasions because it is very costly. The more people there are, the more lasagnas you have to make. So, on holidays when we have all the family over, we do not make it then.

I love this dish for some odd reason. I am not sure if it is because of the taste or the organization of the dish. The dish prepared in a neatly and orderly form. It is made layer by layer. This dish is very tasty, and I wish that I could have it more often. The more cheese, the better the lasagna.

We usually prepare it with garlic bread. The five-cheese kind of garlic bread. This is a great combination because the bread makes the meal more complete.

This is really a knock out dish. This dish is the type of thing you cannot just eat one serving of. You always go running back for seconds. You will keep eating it and eating until your stomach bursts wide open.
