Pirate Palate - Spaghetti - Evan Garrett Austin

Pirate PalateSpaghetti

Evan Garrett Austin

1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/2 teaspoon Butt Rub Barbeque Seasoning
a pinch of black pepper
1/2 teaspoon of Scott's BBQ sauce
23 ounces of Hunt's tomato sauce
1.5-oz. pack dry spaghetti mix

In order to bring this collection of ingredients together for the best possible taste, follow these instructions carefully:

First, coat a cast iron pan with olive oil.

Then, place the hamburger in the pan, spread over the area of the pan, and begin browning.

Mix all other ingredients in any order while burger is browning.

Bring the sauce to a boil, then let simmer while covered with a sheet of aluminum foil.

Now, you can't have spaghetti without the noodles:

Coat a four quart pot with olive oil.

Add three quarts of water and bring the water to a boil.

Add one and a half to two handfuls of the pasta of your choice (I recommend vermicelli) and return the water to a boil until noodles reach the desired texture.

Remove the pasta from the stove, pour into strainer, mix the noodles with sauce in the pot you cooked the noodles in, and enjoy.
