The recipe is not complicated, just time consuming. Begin by seasoning the beef with garlic powder and seasoning salt. Then fry the ground beef. (It takes about ten to fifteen minutes.) Cook neck bones in a separate pot. Boil them for about twenty minutes. Drain grease from ground beef then add to large pot. Add water first, then the kidney beans. After ten minutes of adding the beans, add the neck bones to the pot. Let that cook for about twenty to thirty minutes on mid-low, giving the beans time to get done. Next, add all other ingredients to the pot and cook for another thirty minutes. Start cooking the rice as the chili finishes simmering. Once rice is done, dinner is ready to be served. |
