The history of the Peanut Butter & Banana Protein Shake started during my years playing high school athletics. I was lifting weights and getting in shape for football and basketball, and had heard that many of the older athletes at my high school took creatine. This muscle enhancement isn't illegal, but has bad effects.

I decided to start taking something healthier and perfectly safe. I began with MetRx protein mixed with water. That mix tasted disgusting and wasn't worth the muscle enhancement that it would later give me. I figured if I was going to continue to take this protein, then I would have to make it taste a little better.

As time went on, I would mix different things with milk and the chocolate protein mix. Eventually, I figured out that bananas and peanut butter was the perfect mix. I would make peanut butter and banana sandwiches before summer training camp, and people were surprised I didn't throw up just because of how nasty that combination sounded. As a shake, it tasted terrific, and I also added a little ice cream to make it even more delicious. All of the ingredients mixed together in this shake are enough to fill me up as a meal.

For anyone who lifts weights and takes protein after their workouts, I would certainly recommend trying this shake. It beats the typical water and protein mix that one dreads drinking after a workout. I will continue to make and drink this shake, and I hope it benefits other people in the same way it has benefited me.
