The Axe Instrument
This is sketch (no picture was taken of it) shows it's general set up. A microphone cassing was attached to a spring whose end went into a glass bottle. The entire assembly was wired onto a large real metal costume battle axe. It strapped on to the person like a guitar. The axe made a cool chime that the microphone on the spring picked up nicely. It sounded large and chunky when played.
