Scroll
This scroll was made out of a piece of dowel rod with two curtain rod ends attached.   Curtain rod ends make convenient end caps for a quick to assemble scroll.  The cloth can be purchased from any cloth store (I frequent Jo-Ann's Fabrics -the overpriced craft bastards).  The cloth was taped to the wooden dowel rod by duct tape in the center.  I had some trouble getting the curtain rod ends to stay onto the dowel rod.    They come with little wood threaded screws mounted inside their little cup ends.  I drilled a hole in the ends of the dowel rod, but the wood was way to soft to support the weight, so I just glued the suckers on there with my favorite glue, Household Goop.
