I'm a action figure, comic book, trading cards, &
animation cel collector. I have been collecting stuff for a
long time now and I used to collect everything when I was a kid. I had so much stuff that I had to get rid of some
stuff and had to limit what I collected. (Please check out
my "Want List" page for stuff I'm looking for).
I also like to make art work. The kind of art work I've
done are: drawing, painting, ceramic sculpting, metal
sculpting, jewelry making, wood sculpting, & a little clay sculpting. So, I mixed my two loves of collecting and
making art; and started to make custom action figures. I
still think any well made custom action figure is ART.
I've been making custom action figures for many, many years now and I keep on trying to improve
on my work. The size I curently like to work in is 4 1/2 to 5-inch figures (Hasbro WWF line, Playmates TMNT line, etc.) & 9-inch (ToyBiz Famous Covers line, Playmates Star Trek line, etc.), but I have
made customs in other sizes. Most customs I make are wrestlers because I keep on trying to expand my
Hasbro wrestling collection. There is no way I'll ever finish my collection, simply because there are just
too many wrestlers to make. Wrestling figures are not the only kind of customs I like to make, I also
like to make customs of other this I like (Comic Book characters, Cartoon characters, ect.).
Where did you come up for the name of your site?:
I got the idea for the name of my site from remembering one of my favorite cartoons when I was younger called "The Pirates of Dark Water". I loved watching this cartoon when I was a kid. It was a mixture of pirates and science-fiction and was a very awesome cartoon. Unfortunately, they never finished off the series, but it still remains very popular among people who remembered watching it. In any case, in homage of this cartoon I named my site after it.
Do you sell the Customs you have on your site?:
Sorry, unless you see that I put it on my "For Sale" page I don't sell my work. The customs I have on
my site are for my own personal collection and artistic purposes. I created this site so I can show people
my work and give them ideas for customs they might want to make. I do intend to make some custom
action figures available for sale when I have time to make them, so you can watch out for them.
Do you do commission work?:
Sorry again, not at this time. I simply don't have the time. Check out my "Links" page for other
people who do commissions for people.
Can I use the pics you have on your site?
If you are going to use them as reference or whatever on your own computer, not a problem. If you
want to put any pics of my work on your web-site, that's okay with me. But I would ask that you let me
know first and give me credit. The only pic on my site that I would not like you to take is my logo on
my home page. Thanks for following my requests.
