Part 1: Horrible mistake

The Hobbit's, Frodo Baggins Samwise (Sam) Gamgee, Meriadoc (Merry) Brandybuck & Peregrin (Pippin) Took, Along with the help of Aragorn/strider traveled from bree through the woods, and into the wild, and last but not least the marshes. The Ranger would hear the complainants of the Youngest of the Hobbits Pippin, about how much his feet were hurting, and walking through mud wasn't helping them. He got stuck in the mud once too.

After a days walk, they had made it to the Weathertop (The Great watch-tower), with sore feet.

After, entering the weathertop, the removed their heavy Backpacks dropping to the ground with relief. "I thought, my arms would come out their sockets!" Merry muttered to himself.
Aragorn, had gone hunting for food, And the Hobbit's were free to do as they wish, except leave the watch-tower, unless they wanted to Die and early age, and alter the Nazgul where they were. Frodo had no intentions of doing any of the following, he sat down quietly Smoking his pipe.

"I still don't trust that, Strider," Merry whispered to Sam, lighting his pipe. "You don't trust Mr. Pippin half of the time, Merry," Sam Scoffed, setting down on his bedroll. "Why should this time any different."

The Brandybuck glared at Sam, and puffed on his pipe. "Not Trusting Pippin is a hole, different thing Sam," He Pointed out.
Sam just nodded, watching his Master Diffting in & out of sleep, as he smoked his pipe.

"Merri!!" Pippin whined. "I'm hungry! What's to eat!?" The young Took, sat beside his Cousin, staring at him with his pleading green eyes. "How should I know, pip," Merry replied. "There's food in my bag, go eat that."
"Okay," Pippin chirped, leaving his cousin's side.

The young Took, opened Merry's bag pulling out the broken carrot from when they raided Famer Maggot's Vegetable Garden. "Ahh," He whispered, biting into to it. "Yum."
After he had finished, the carrot he went for everything else in Merry's bag eating all of the contents of food inside. He Belched out-loud, rubbing his stomach. "That was good," He moaned falling to ground.

Sam look on shock, as did Merry staring at the small Hobbit's round tummy and the empty Bag.
Merry crawled over beside the sleeping Took, and Grabbed his bag, which was almost as light as a feather. ( If it weren't Everything non-edible)
"Oi! He ate all my food!" Merry gasped. "Sam, Pippin every last morsel of my food! Even my broken Carrot!" He picked up the stem, that was once on his carrot.

Sam couldn't help but laugh. "That's what ya' get fer trustin' Mr. Pippin, Merry," He Held back the urge to laugh out loud. "He'll eat everything, if you don't tell him not too. I think."

"I hope, he eats your food, Samwise Gamgee!" Merry snapped, lying down on his bedroll. "His stomach is a bottomless pit. I swear to Elbereth! And your food will fill 'em up!"

Sam just about to Argue with Merry, when a Shrill Screaming stopped him dead in his tracks. Frodo Bolted over to the edge of the Weather top, Pippin Merry & Sam followed. Down below them were Four Shadows, standing on a hill.

The Four of them Pulled out their Swords The Hobbits Bolted from their postion's and headed for the lower part of the Weathertop, panic stricken.

They All stood, back-to-back their swords up. The cold wind blew Blew across their faces, their eyes darted side to side, searching for the Nazgul (Ring-Wraiths). "Why do they keep comin'!?" Pippin whined.
"They want the ring!" Frodo responded. "They'll kill me and take the ring!"

Pippin's heart skipped a beat. Kill his beloved Cousin!? Of all the things to bare, Frodo had the bare the ring of Power, the ring of the Dark lord; Suaron. He had to do something.
The Nazgul, came from the shadows sneaking up behind them. They Drew out their swords, holding them upright, coming forward. The Four, Hobbit's, turned around quickly finding the four Black figures, come toward them. Pippin watched, Frodo Jerk back and Grabbed The Chain that held the ring ripping it from Frodo's neck, and bolted forward.

"Pippin!" Frodo cried. "You Idiot!"
They watched as The Young Took Pushed pass the Nazgul, and run in direction they came from. The Nazgul Dashed, after Pippin, leaving Frodo, Sam & Merry behind.

"We've got to go after that Fool of a Took!" Sam Cried running off.
Frodo & Merry followed after him.

~*~

Pippin had reached the foggy woods (the fog was in) In mere seconds. His heart was beating wildly, in fear of what the Nazgul would do to him if they caught up with him. He turned back finding not one Blackrider in sight, when he bumped into something. Falling to the ground, the Young took had realized what knocked him to the ground, Gazing up he found, the Four Nazgul hovering over him, with their swords pointed Directly at him.

Pippin wanted to hide, he wanted to Curl up in a ball, and disappear. That's when the sudden urge to put the ring on came over him, Pulling the Ring from the chain he slipped it over his finger and vanished. He opened his eyes finding himself in a dark place, everything was black and gray except for the four white figures hovering over him.

Pippin realized it that the Nagul could still see him, the Tallest one was kneeling over reaching for the Ring that was on his hand.
His hand was trembling in, as it got closer to the Nazguls hand, Pippin fought against the will of the ring, and pulled his hand back.
The Nazgul was enraged, he Drove his sword right deep into The Took's shoulder.

"Oh Elbereth!" Pippin Cried, which was followed by a Blood curdling scream. (> _<!)

The Blackriders, drew closer to Pippin, when the shouts of the other Hobbit's caught their attention, they Fled intot the darkness of the night.

Pippin managed to get his throbbing arm up to the other and pulled the ring off his finger.
He letting out a Shrieking Scream, into the night, screaming for his firends.

Frood, Sam & Merry stopped dead in their tracks. They had just heard an echoing scream, that was Shouting for them. They Ran through the forest, in the direction of where the scream had come from, hopping that Pippin was not dead or even hurt.

Pippin lied on the ground, shivering & Whimpering his friends names. All feeling had left his Left arm. His vision was blurred, and could see nothing but shapes of the Dark shadows of the trees. The sky was twikling with stars, and the moon was out shining brightly in the sky.

"Merry-S-Sam? S-Strider? Frodo? Anybody?" He Called quietly. His lip was quivering with fear. He was surrounded by the darkness, and wild animals who wanted a good meal.

He Blacked out, but not before he heard someone call his name.

" . . . . I Found Pippin . . . .!"

"Merry . . . .?" Pippin moaned.
~*~

Pippin's opened his eyes slightly, gazing into someone's brown eyes full on worry. "Oi! Sam, Frodo! Pippin's awake!" Pippin knew it had to be Merry. Beside his family & Friends, Merry was the only one who actually yelled joyously when Pippin was sick a woke up from a deep sleep.

"That's wonderful Merry!" He Heard Sam Chirped, coming to his side.
"Hush!" Came a voice. "Frodo, Keep the fire burning, we must keep Pippin warm!"
"Strider?" Pippin rasped.

The Ranger, moved toward him hovering over the young Hobbit. "Yes it me," He said, ruffling Pippin's curly hair.
"Where is the black figures!?" Pippin's voice was full of panic.

"Do not worry, Peregrin they are gone," Aragorn coaxed. "What came over you? What made you take the ring from Frodo?"

Pippin squinted his eyes, trying to remember exactly what had come over him. "I-I don't know," He Replied. "All wanted to do was protect my Cousin Frodo, and then there was something else . . . I can exactly remember what it was that came over me. Why can't I feel my arm?"

"You were stabbed in the shoulder by The Nazgul's blade," The Ranger explained. "You've been Poisoned. If we do not get you to Rivendell soon, you shall pass into the shadow world and become a Wraith like them."

Merry was full of Worry. He Could see the pain setting on Pippin's face. "But Do not Fear, Merry! We'll get to Rivendell before then, you have my word!"

"I hope so," Merry Replied.

~*~

They Set off once again, heading for Rivendell. The Hobbit's could find no reason to Cheer up, Pippin was the only one besides Merry, who could get them to laugh and forget their troubles. But Since Pippin was the one who was poisoned instead of Frodo, they could not help but worry for the young Hobbit.

"How, are you holding up, Pip?" Sam Asked.
"I'm so cold," Pippin whimpered. "I want  to got home . . . Da."
"He's Delirious," Merry Mumbled.

"Give him your Cloak Merry," Aragorn ordered.

Merry removed his Cloak from his shoulders, and Wrapped it around Pippin. "Hopefully I don't catch a cold, after this," He Muttered to Pippin. Pippin laughed quietly, his body shaking.

"It should have been me, not Pippin," Frodo sighed. "If only I sent him home."

"Do you think Master Peregrin would have gone?" The Ranger asked.
"No," Frodo replied, lying his hand on Pip's leg. (He's riding Bill the pony) "I just wish this didn't happen to him!"

"Sadly enough it did," Sam Muttered.

~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Peregrin's POV:
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

I was so cold. And Tired. I all wanted to do, was go to sleep, but I find that I could not. For my dreams are plagued with nightmares, and frightening images of the Nazgul. My Body swayed back and forth, as Bill walked, I dfifited in and out at times and could barely hear what my Friends were saying. At times I would hear the voice of someone else wtih us. Aragorn Calls him Glorfindel, he's an Elf. I guessed that fromt he start, because he mentioned something about him coming from Rivendell, sent by this Man named Lord Elrond.

I Blacked out again.

I Awoke, finding myself Lying against soemone's back, and Bill--- No it was another horse riding hard and was, I was lying on Frodo's Back. He Wrapped my right arm around his wiast, afraid I might fall off the horse. I no longer had the ring around my neck, Frodo must have lifted the weight of carrying it off my shoulders. I thank him with all my heart.

I could feel myself slipping again, the presence of the Nazgul I could Sense all around me.

Water was spashing acoss my face, it was icy cold, I tighened my Arm around Frodo's waist, when I felt myself slipping off the horse's back, I pulled myself back up on the horse's back sighing with relief.

"Come, Back! Come Back!" I Heard the Nazgul shouting. "To Mordor we will take you!"

"I shall not!" I heard Frodo sneer. "You will not come any closer to me!!"

"The Ring! The Ring!" They Shrieked. "Come back, and we will spare your Friends life!"

The sound of Frodo Pulling out his sword, rang in my ears. "You shall not have the ring, nor me! Not even my friend!" He Yelled.

I Began to wheezing and leaning off the horse. I limbs were moving all on their own. I flet myself get off the horse, stumbling into the river. "Pippin stop!" Frodo cried.

I began to move across the Ford, shakily & Stumbling. "Pippin!" My Cousin shouted. I hear the Horse galloping over to me. Frodo Grabbed me, pulling me back onto the horse. "Don't Listen to them, Pippin!" He Cried. "Fight them!"

There was a sudden Rush of water, coming down the Ford, The Wraiths began to approach us until they screamed in terror, trying to get back to Shore. It was all in vain, They were swept down the Ford, what became of them I will never know.

I wanted to stay awake, but had no will of my own at that time, and I blacked out once more, thinking it would be the last time I would ever open my eyes again.

(End of Peregrin's POV)

Part Three: Doubtful & Hopeful
__________________________

Pippin & Frodo, finally made it to Rivendell, But Frodo Wondered if he was too late for his Cousin. An Elf Maiden Carried Pippin to Lord Elornd.

"Take him to the Guest room, quickly," He Ordered the Maiden.

The Elf maiden rushed to Guest room chambers, Srtipping Pippin of his filthy Clothes, and lying him bed, with human sized Nightwear.
"Master Baggins, you must leave now," She whispered. "Lord Elrond mustn't be distracted, when helps your friend."

"Can I stay until, He arrives?" Frodo begged.

The Elf maiden sighed, and nodded. "Very well." With that said, she left the room.

Frodo, Moved to Pippin's side. Pippin was shivering his lips were blue and quivering, he mumbled Inaudible things in his dreams clutching onto Frodo's hand.

"Don't worry Pippin, I'm here," Frodo whispered, brushing the wet curls from his face. "I won't let anyone hurt you again. Ever." Pippin smiled sweetly in his sleep. "Frodo . . ?" He muttered.

(A/N: This ain't no Pippin/Frodo slash! so don't think it is beause it ain't!)

"Frodo, Baggins," Came Lord Elrond's voice. Frodo Turned in response with a tried look in his eyes. "You may leave now, I promise, will do everything my power to help your Cousin." He said, resting his hand on the Hobbit's Shoulder.

"Thank you Lord elrond," Frodo yawned, getting up from his chair. He Gazed upon Pippin one last time, and shut the door.

"Make it throught this Pip," He Muttered, walking slowly down the hall to his room. "Please."

Before his opened his door, he hear Pippin Screaming his name. He didn't oblige to his call and entered his room, feeling like a heel.

~*~

Frodo, awoke from a horrible nightmare. He Dreamed Pippin became a wraith, and destroyed the Shire and killed everyone inculding Merry & his family. He was coved head to toe drenched with sweat. he inhaled deeply and opened his eyes. Morning had come quickly, Frodo felt like he just lied down. Stretching himself out, getting all the kinks out of his bones, from being in the curled up in his huge bed.

Throwning on his trousers and his blouse and vest that had been washed, by the Elf-maiden that helped Him and Pippin to Rivendell.

He wanted to see, how Pippin was doing so badly, but something told him, he was still sick, he could feel it in his stomach.

No matter what his stomach told him, Frodo dashed out of  his bedroom, heading for Pippin's bedroom, when Two Figures jumped out of nowhere onto him. He yelped out in surprise and was going to call for help, when he heared unmistakable laughter. "Merry, Sam!" Frodo Cried, pulling them into a hug. "You're okay your alive!"

"Well of course we're alive you silly Baggins!" Merry laughed. "Why'd you think we'd be dead?"

Frodo Hung his head down, blushing feeling foolish all of sudden. "Well, after Glorfindel sent me off to Rivendell without you, I thought I'd never you again." he played with the buttons on his vest.

"You should know, Samwise Gamgee & Meriadoc Brandybuck are not that easily gotten rid of Frodo Baggins!" Merry scolded him. "Anyway how's Pip, holding up? is He alright?"

"I'm, not sure I was going over to his room when you caught me by surprise," Frodo replied. "Not that I'm saying its your fault!"

"We know Mr. Frodo," Sam chuckled. "C'mon, lets go see 'em."

The Three set off to see their ill friend when, the sound of him crying out for the three of them, stopped them in their tracks, causing their heats to skip 3 beats. "Pippin!" They Cried in unison, bolting toward his room.

They Knocked the door open, knocking a Elf who stood in front of the door, out onto the floor.
"Ohh," Sam Winced, bitting his lip. "Sorry mister Elf."

"Frodo! Merry! Sam!" Pippin moaned, trying to get an old man who wore a gray Cloak hand off his shoulder.

"Leave 'em alone," Sam warned. "or' I'll knock your three ways from the Shire and back!"

"You'll do no such thing Samwise Gamgee!" The Old man snapped. Sam Jumped in surprise, shrinking back.

The Old man turned around, with a sly smirk on his face. Frodo's blue eyes lit up like the stairs themselves. "Gandalf!" He Cried leaping into the Wizards arms.

"Yes I'm here," He said. "You're all lucky to be here to. Including Peregrin. I've just taken the broken peice of the Nazgul's poison blade out of the young Took's arm. But my work and lord Elrond's is not done yet."

"Well, Hurry I don't want to loose my Cousin!" Merry Snapped suddenly. Gandalf Glared at the Hobbit, and Merry ran out of the room in fear of what would happen to him, if he stayed any longer.

"Ya' didn't have ta' Scare Mr. Merry like that Mr. Gandalf," Sam pointed out.
Gandalf scoffed lightly and pushed Both Frodo & Sam out of the room. "Get going the both of you. Samwise give Frodo a tour around the House of Elrond why don't you?"

"Yes sir Mr. Gandalf sir," Samwise said, grabbing Frodo's hand. "C'mon Frodo, don't want to anger Mr. Gandalf now do we?"

Frodo Shook his head, and followed after Sam.

Part Four: On the mend
___________________

It had been a month, and was not October the Twentyfourth. Pippin had been saved fromt he Grasp of the Nazgul, but had yet to awaken. Frodo, Sam & Merry feared he would never wake up, until Gandalf came to them and told them Pippin was now awake in his chambers.

The Three Hobbit's rushed to Pippin's bedroom, unable to wait until after luncheon.

They opened the door finding Pippin Reading, The Magician's Nephew setting up. "Pippin!" Merry Cried leaping onto the bed, pulling the Hobbit into a huge hug. "You're okay! You're okay!" He was practically crushing Pippin's ribcage. "Ow-Ow! Merry! You're hurtting me!" He Moaned.

Merry let him go in a second, grining like a fool. "S-sorry, Pip," He Mumbled.
Pippin was about to answer, when Sam and Frodo, hugged him at the same time. "Owwwwwwww!" He Cried. "SAM FRODO!"
The Two Hobbit's pulled away from the youngest Hobbit, and smiled.

"I know your all happy that I'm okay, but ya' didn't hafta crush me to show it!" Pippin breathed. "I'm still mending."

The Hobbits nodded, in response.
"We're sorry," Frodo muttered.
"It's alright Frodo," Pippin laughed. "I'm okay, I promise or try my best not to get hurt again. I hope."

Sam ruffled Pip's curly hair. "We Believe ya' Mr. Pippin," He said.
Merry simply shrugged. "I doubt that this is the last time Peregrin gets hurt," The Brandybuck thought.

"Why don't we spend the whole day with our favorate Cousin!?" Merry suggested.

They All looked to Pippin for approval. "Sure why not?" The Young Took smiled from ear to ear, his green eyes shining. "I could use the exercise anyway."

The Four, Hobbit's spent the entire Afternoon talking playing, eating & more eating, before the Peril that they would face later, to become heroes, Warriors & Legendary ones at that.

The Winter here's are cold, and bitter
It's chilled us to the bone
Haven't seen the sun for weeks,
too long too far from home,
I feel just like I'm sinking
and I claw for solid ground

I'm pulled down by the undertow
I never throught I could feel so low
oh the darkness I fell like letting go

If all the strength, and all of the courage
could lift me from the place
I know I could love you much better than this,

Full of Grace,
Full of Grace
My Love

So it's better this way; I said
Having seen this place before
Where everything we said and did
Hurts us all more
It's just that we stayed, too long
in the same old Skickly Skin

I'm pulled down by the undertow
I never thought I could feel so low
Oh the Darkness I feel like letting go

If All of the strength, and all of the courage,
could lift me from this place,
I know I could Love you much better than this

Full of Grace
Full of Grace
My Love
