Aragorn is the lost heir of Isildur, the last King of Gondor. He roams the North in the guise of a Ranger, called Strider, which is how the hobbits are introduced to him at Bree. Strider leads the hobbits to Weathertop, and from there to Rivendell after Frodo is attacked. After the Council of Elrond, Aragorn decides to join the Fellowship, if only to return to the city that he will rule. Aragorn takes over as leader of the Fellowship after the fall of Gandalf. He decides to follow the Uruk-hai that have captured Merry and Pippin after the Fellowship is broken up and Boromir dies, taking Legolas and Gimli with him. This chase leads them to Rohan, where they meet omer and his company. omer informs them that they have destroyed the Uruk-hai captures, but Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli continue on in the hope of finding Merry and Pippin. They come to Fangorn Forest, and are reunited with Gandalf, now Gandalf the White. The four of them ride to Edoras and help the people of Rohan in the Battle of Helm's Deep. After the battle, and after Gandalf has left for Minas Tirith with Peregrin, Aragorn chooses to take the Paths of the Dead, and summons the Dead Men of Dunharrow, a formidable army. Legolas, Gimli and the Grey Company (Aragorn's fellow Rangers from the north). The Dead Army help defeat the Corsairs of Umbar and sieze the ships. Aragorn and his army arrive just in time to help win the Battle of the Pelennor Fields. Aragorn leads the force that marches to the Black Gate of Mordor. When Sauron's forces are defeated, Aragorn returns to Minas Tirith and is crowed King of Gondor and Arnor. As was promised by Elrond, Aragorn is given the hand of Arwen Undmiel, who gave up her immortality to be with him. Aragorn rules as King until the age of 210, when he finally gives up his life. His son Eldarion rules after him.

Legolas
Also called: Legolas Greenleaf, Master Elf Age: (during the War of the Ring) 2931 (according to Orlando Bloom ^-^) Race: Sindar Elf (of Mirkwood) Parents: Elven-King Thranduil Played by: Orlando Bloom
Legolas is the son of Thranduil, King of the Elves of Northern Mirkwood. His father sends him as a messenger to Rivendell, and the Council of Elrond, bringing news of Gollums escape from their capture. After the Council, Legolas is chosen as a member of the Fellowship of the Ring. Legolas is a keen archer, and is as equally deadly with his Elvish knife. But as well as these skills, Legolas adds to the Fellowship his Elvish senses. His sight and hearing become useful to the Fellowship on several occasions, as does his ability to communicate with other Elves. After the Breaking of the Fellowship, Legolas, along with Gimli and Aragorn, set out to find and rescue Merry and Pippin from their Uruk-hai captors. Along the way, the three meet up with the Rohirrim. During the time they spend together, Legolas and Gimli become quite close friends, against the history of dislike and mistrust between Elves and Dwarves. In fact, during the Battle of Helms Deep, the two have a competition to see who may kill the most orcs (Gimli wins). Legolas once again joins Aragorn, when Aragorn takes the Paths of the Dead, on his way to Gondor. On this journey, Legolas catches a glimpse (or more) of the sea, a sight which will haunt him for the rest of his endless life. (Note: Legolas was warned by Galadriel of this peril: Legolas Greenleaf long under tree In joy thou hast lived. Beware of the sea! If thou hearest the cry of the gull on the shore, Thy heart shall then rest in the forest no more. ) After the passing of Aragorn, Legolas builds a ship and, with Gimli, sails into the West.
