Pippin is Frodo's second cousin, and Merry's cousin. Him and Merry are impossible to seperate. They're always together.

He's the youngest of all four hobbits. Pippin always just kinda goes along with Merry's plans. He's like a follower, and agrees with Merry. He has never left Hobbiton in his entire life when we first see him, so we can say he's the least prepared for this journey.

He's naive and doesn't realize how dangerous the journey really is. He doesn't understand about all the dangers. Atleast the other Hobbits know a bit about life outside of the Shire: Pippin knows nothing.

Although it does not happen in the books or movies, any true fan who has spent hours memorizing the family trees (like me) would know that Pippin later is married to Diamond of Long Cleeve. *takes a stick and whacks Diamond on the head* (What kinda name is Diamond anyway?) He has one son who he names Faramir I, and later Faramir marries Sam's daughter Goldilocks.

Pippin still helps, and in the end proves to be very brave.
