The Greeks have a word for it
This page is an advert for my last record called "The Greeks have a word for it"
What follows is the promotional text
Pantofis The Greeks have a wrod for it (Germany 2003; ca. 33 min.)

Hello, my name is Pantofis Rambouglou. I came to Germany a while ago with a lot of gold that I stole from my parents. With it I financed the recordings on this collection in the summer of 2003. Once again I recorded the album totally on my own in the finest Pantofis-tradition.
The songs were meant to represent an album the record companies would kill for. As it is, it represents my taste and the so-called Frankfurt state of mind.
After all this is my 3rd attempt for 2003, so dont expect any knock-offs.
That being said, it is my highest priority to please you. Have fun!

Greek Song

This one is about the sentiments I have for The homecountry of Vangelis. I like it very much, its very me.

Tomorrowboy

More of a concept than a real song, this one is about a drug addict becoming sober. Musically, I have a whole load of tunes like this.

Only me and my guitar

One of the songs dedicated to my guitar. The big synth break is based on a tune I wrote while taking the escalator. The escalator of death

I knew It Was You

A very conscious Yes-ripoff, strongly reminiscent of their own New Languages. This harmony-laden ditty comes complete with a bass-solo.

My guitar is the answer

One of my most true songs, but the recorded version is not very good.

The secret diaries

As you can easilly point out, one of the biggest joys on this sessions was playing the bass guitar. This is basically a bass-solo based on the secret diaries

Sleeping alone

When you present a collection of brand new tunes, not every single one can be very good.

Who Is That Man?

The most personal song Ive written so far. It is based on the kind of nice behaviour that mainly puzzles people.

Hate Street

A song about my homeplace and a consious attempt at shaking off the nice-guy-image. The odd stereo-imaging comes as desired: Pantofis singing next to a  closed rehearsal-room door, while the band is throbbing and blasting away with the bass-drum virtually hammering at the door!

Lets Hope

I knew this was going to become the closing song as I wrote it. To my delight I ended up emulating the latter-day Paul McCartney.
Note: You can't buy this album at a store, because Pantofis has no record contract yet
