| AIDS Apparently Miroku has never heard of it. Autumn A time when Shippou stocks up on leaves. Barnie the purple dinosaur Most famous for singing 'I love you, you love me etc.' to the tune of 'This Old Man'. I'm just wondering how long he'd last if Takahashi-sensei were to put him in 'Inuyasha'. Something tells me that Inu-gumi, Sesshoumaru, Kouga, Kikyou and Naraku and Co. would put aside their differences and gang up against him. Beaded necklaces Very handy as they double up as a fashion accessory and as a shock collar for naughty dog demons. Unfortunately they are quite hard and expensive to make so the manufacturers only made one. They have not received orders for anymore. Buyo Kagomes obese cat. Buyobuyo in Japanese means flabby, chubby etc. it is basically an adjective to describe obesity. Thus Buyo is a Fat Cat and is probably what inspired that annoying kids show Fat Cat and Friends. Or maybe its the other way round. Who really cares? Chichiri Character from Fushigi Yuugi. Mirokus Chinese friend? Of course, since Chichiri is only a character in a book, that would make him Mirokus imaginary Chinese friend! Chum, Pal, My Dog etc. These are all brands of dog food sold in Australia. I regret to say that I dont know which is Sesshoumarus preference as we never see him eat but it is probably Pal; my dogs prefer Pal. Enigma Namely the fluffy thing over Sesshoumaru's shoulder. Is it a tail or just a fashion accessory? Eric Cartman The rude, little fat kid from South Park. Has nothing to do with Inuyasha or Japan but someone gave me a Cartman doll for my birthday and it sits on my desk and frowns at me and its really cute! Just thought Id mention it ^^. Fangs When their teeth fall out demons would take it to Toutousai for it to be made into a sword because I dont think the Japanese believed in the Tooth Fairy, cos if they did, then there wouldnt be Tetsusaiga, Tenseiga and Toukijin, would there? Herbal Essence A type of shampoo. According to some fanfic writers this is the love of Sesshoumarus life. Hiraikotsu Sangos boomerang. A souvenir from Australia when her father went to exterminate the Rainbow Serpent. Kirara Sangos pet demon cat. It has the ability to transform into a bigger and fiercer form. A yet to be identified Pokemon. Kitsune Soba A type of Japanese cuisine. Buckwheat noodles in soup with a piece of fried tofu on top. It is so called because of the Japanese belief that foxes love to eat fried tofu. Contradictory to what some people may believe, it is NOT Soba a la Shippou. Kurama (also goes under the name of Shuuichi Minamino) One of the main characters of Yuyu Hakusho. Also Inuyashas fifth cousin three times removed. Highly probable that he is also related to Shippou on their mothers side. Lecherous Monks As to the best of my knowledge, Miroku is the only one to fit this description. Some people may wonder how he is a monk because theyre supposed to be chaste but I read from somewhere that the Japanese place such high importance in the continuation of ones lineage that they permitted their monks to marry. Therefore it shouldnt be strange at all that Miroku comes from a line of monks and is seeking to produce an heir. However, like I said, Miroku is the only one to fit the description of Perverted Priest, other Japanese monks are not lechers, well, at least the ones that I saw in Kyoto near the Kiyomizudera kept their hands to themselves. Lolita Complex Sesshoumarus feelings towards Rin? (If anything that is written here offends anyone, especially devoted Fluffy fans, please remember that this is all in good fun and not to be taken seriously. I like Fluffy a lot, honest!) Lum The alien in the striped bikini from Urusei Yatsura. Inuyasha's cousin from Outer Space. She is also a demon. Michael Jackson Not Japanese and has nothing much to do with Inuyasha except I am highly suspicious of the fact that he may have been the model for Naraku and Gatenmaru. Oedipus Complex What Shippou would probably suffer from if Kagome and Inuyasha were his real parents. Pantene Another brand of shampoo. Perhaps Kikyous favourite according to some spoofmasters. Pixie Sticks I dont know what these are but I reckon that they could be a type of confectionery. From what Ive read in fanfics, it would be advisable to keep these, under all circumstances, away from Shippou. Or from any other character in Inuyasha for that matter Shiro The main character of the Japanese Folktale most commonly titled Grandfather Cherry Blossom. Shiro is the name of a white dog (Shiro meaning white in Japanese) who brings good fortune to his kind and elderly masters and is consequently killed by a mean jealous neighbour. May or may not be related to Inuyashas father, the Great Lord of the West. Snoopy A main character of the US comic Peanuts. He was Inuyashas best friend in obedience school but they had a fight over I dont know what and are no longer on speaking terms. Snoopy's doghouse Silly me! I do know what the fight between Snoopy and Inuyasha was about. You see, Inu-chan once tried to steal Snoopy's doghouse because Kaede was too poor or too cheap to get one for him. Snoopy found out in time and the two have not spoken since. As you know, Inuyasha had to make do with that tall bare tree. Talking Fleas Namely Myouga. HUGE hint that Inuyasha is in sore need of a flea collar you dont see Sesshoumaru or Kouga with fleas, do you? Tanuki Soba See Kitsune Soba for more information on soba. As the name indicates, it is Soba a la Hachiemon, Mirokus servant/underling. Or it could have been one of his relatives but you can bet itll be poor ol Hachi in the pot sooner or later unless he is protected by an Endangered Species Program (dont you dare try and tell me that talking raccoons arent an endangered specie). The West The place where Inuyashas and Sessoumarus dad came from. Also the place where Tripitaka, Monkey, Pigsy and Sandy had to go to collect the Holy Scriptures. |
