complications
kagome sighed, willing herself not to scream and rant at inu-yasha. Why did he always bug her about this? She was only going back to her own time for a few days to catch up and what not. He didn't have to go and attack her leg.
Inu-yasha was clinging to her leg and showed no signs of letting go anytime soon.
"Inu-yasha, care to explain why you are hanging onto my LEG?" Kagome nearly screamed at him. This was pathetic, he was basically begging her not to leave, though he would never admit it. In fact, Kagome actually thought it felt nice, though she'd NEVER admit that�.
"do I need my reason wench?"
"You do when you're hanging onto my leg, Inu-yasha!"
"Feh"
"Don't 'feh' me! let go of my leg, it's very uncomfortable!" though she'd never admit that it is the total opposite and that it feels nice�.
"Kagome-sama?" asked a silent Miroku, "May I suggest that you�you know?"
Kagome paused. She really, really didn't want to 'sit' inu-yasha. but she knew she had too, "Fine. Inu-yasha?"
"What wench?" inu-yasha snapped, not seeming to notice the exchange of advice between Miroku and Kagome. But then he seemed to notice, "I wouldn't kagome." he mused.
"SIT! SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT!!!!"
Inu-yasha slammed to the ground. Numerous times, unfortunately, since inu-yasha had been hanging onto kagome she came down with him. Kagome was soon flat on her back and fuming at inu-yasha and Miroku.
As soon as Kagome regained herself and inu-yasha let go, Kagome was up and chasing after the soon to be dead Miroku.
"You BAKA! you knew that was going to happen didn't you!?" she yelled at the retreating Monk.
"Kagome-sama, I am insulted, you don't take me for some fool?" Miroku tried to muffle his laughter and it was plain to see that Miroku had truly known what he was doing.
Inu-yasha sat watching the pervert and kagome laughing to himself. she looks so beautiful with her hair whipped back like that. WHOA, where did that come from? Inu-yasha quickly hit his head trying to get the image out of his head. But every time his gaze drifted to Kagome his heart sank. 'what in the seven hells is wrong with me? why am I thinking like this. I love kikyo, don't I?' but still his mind drifted.
After Miroku had several bruises and kagome was out of breath, the gang sat around eating. Inu-yasha sat outside the fire's circle, thinking of what he was thinking about earlier. (for once he's actually thinking, amazing!)
'what is wrong with me? why does my mind still drift over to her. I love kikyo, but do I love kagome too? oh in all the seven hells why me!? haven't I suffered enough. what the hell am I saying now? I'm such a baka damn it!'
"inu-yasha?" came a light whisper shattering his thoughts as he looked up to see Kaogme standing over him, some Raman in her hands. she smiled sweetly, "why are you sitting over here by yourself, aren't you hungry?"
Kagome seemed to have forgotten all about returning home, she also seemed to have forgotten that he'd been hanging onto her leg for 15 minutes earlier in the day. She still smiled sweetly and her eyes sparkled and reflected the fire.
"here you go inu-yasha, you may not be saying anything, but your stomach doesn't lie," inu-yasha was suddenly aware of his stomach and it's monstrous growling. he growled himself trying to cover up his smile.
"thanks wench."
Kagome seemed hurt by his reply but sat next to him anyway, holding much more Raman since she knew that one would never be enough for this hungry hanyou.
"Kagome?" Kagome looked up suddenly surprised that he had used her name so gingerly, his eyes met hers and she could feel herself blush.
"Hai�.inu-yasha?" she asked her eyes never leaving his.
inu-yasha's mind raced, 'now what genius, you got her attention, now what do you plan to say?' he gulped suddenly hoping that kagome didn't notice. Luckily, she didn't since she seemed to be lost in his eyes.
"Kagome�thank you�for the Raman." he looked away and continued to gobble the stuff up, it seemed as if he was inhaling it.
' did he actually thank me, for his food. the food I give him basically everyday and he's never said thanks before has he? my this is so confusing, is he up to something? or is he just trying to be nice?' she sighed, she hoped it was the last one but knew there was no way that he'd ever really try to be nice, at least not to her�
'what the hell did I just do?' inu-yasha's mind raced, 'did I just thank her!? I eat her Raman all the time, why is this any different? damn it to all the hells, what is going on with me today?' he continued to eat

Miroku sat and ate his meal in peace with Shippou and Sango but couldn't help but wonder what Kagome-sama and inu-yasha could possibly be talking about. And why hadn't Kagome gone home when she had the chance to?
"Sango-sama? why do you suppose that Kaogme is still here?"
"Well, Miruko-sama it is fairly obvious, she was too distracted by your evil attempts to get her butt."
"Sango-sama I am insulted now, why would I purposely try to make Kagome-sama fall to the ground like a dog?"
"Because, Miruko-sama," Sango's left eyebrow had a tick as a vain popped, "You were telling us how priceless it had been to see Kagome-Chan fall to the ground. While she was chasing you you said that." Sango rolled her eyes.
Miruko didn't say a word but instead had his hand snake around to Sango's underside.

"Kagome?"
"hm�"
"I-"
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH PERVERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
**SLAM!**
inu-yasha was unmistakably cut off by a pissed off Sango as she had her boomerang connect with Miroku's face.
Inu-yasha sighed as Kagome got up for her first-aid kit. 'damn it inu-yasha you're such a baka, letting kagome get to you like that!' he thought as he mentally kicked himself. 'you�re a pathetic loser and should give up, she doesn't love you, so go find kikyo or something, you're good at screwing things up like that.' Shut up, inu-yasha thought as he mentally kicked himself again for talking to himself. As much as he thought his subconscious was right, he couldn't help but feel something special for Kaogme, a feeling that would never go away, a feeling that had sparked to life the moment he first laid eyes on her.
Kagome patched up Miroku's bleeding head and inu-yasha jumped into a nearby tree, not forgetting his Raman of course ^_^.
Kagome sighed, she wondered what inu-yasha was going to ask, and watched sadly as he took refuge into his tree.
"Kagome-Sama, I for one am so glad that you care enough to patch up my wounded head."
"Any time Miroku-samAH! PERVERT!" as if one reflex Miroku's hand connected with Kagome's butt and Sango's hand connected with Miroku's face , giving him an extremely read mark. Inu-yasha growled warningly to Miroku before continuing to inhale his Raman.
Kagome spent the rest of the night far, far away from Miroku and his evil hands. (at least he's trying, unlike inu-yasha!)

inu-yasha sighed, dozing silently with his hand ready on Tetsusiga (SP) and his ears perked up for the slightest movement or sound. He sighed, by the sounds of it, everyone was asleep, breathing deeply, he heard their breaths, one, two, three, four�.only four? Inu-yasha opened one eye to see Shippou, Miroku, Sango, and her cat demon sleeping peacefully. But where was kagome? Damn it how could he have not heard her left, and he didn't have to think twice about where she was heading. The bone eater's well, in the blink of an eye, all that was left in the tree was the forgotten packages of Ramen.

Kagome silently slipped through the trees the the Bone Eater's well. She really hated leaving like this, but she needed to get back home, and now that her leg was free from inu-yasha's firm grip she was happy to leave.
"and where do you think you're going Kagome?" Kagome nearly jumped out of her shoes to see a tired and sad looking hanyou sitting on the edge of the bone eater's well.
"inu-yasha please, let me go, I'll say 'it'"
inu-yasha nearly snorted, "just listen for a second Kagome�" he mumbled something that Kagome couldn't hear.
Kagome was growing impatient but decided that her family would be asleep by now, she sat in the grass and looked inu-yasha in the eyes, waiting, "fine inu-yasha, what do you want?"
Inu-yasha nearly fell into the bone eater's well, she was really staying? She gave in just like that?! why? 'nice going, now what are you planning to say to make her stay dumb ass? oh you can't leave because I'm hungry, yeah that will work of course.' he mentally kicked himself for the third time that day and his mind raced trying to find something to say. He could feel Kagome tense up as she began to grow impatient.
"um�"
"Can you make this quick inu-yasha, I'd like to get back to my family some time this month�"
"Shut up and give me a second wench�" he knew that definitely wasn't the thing to say because Kagome's shocked look soon was overcome with anger.
"SIT!" she yelled at him as he slammed to the ground, letting herself step on his back as he yelped in pain.
"no kagome�don't. OW. damn it that hurt bitch."
"Goodbye inu-yasha, see you in a week." she began to walk towards the bone eater's well. If inu-yasha was going to do anything, now would be a good time.
"No�kagome�please�don't go." he whispered. hoping that she wouldn't hear him being so weak, unfortunately for him, or not, kagome did hear and turned to look down at him.
"what did you say�inu-yasha?"
' Perfect for once you did something right ass hole, now you can tell her you're sorry and she'll stay.' his mind yelled at him, 'but what am I going to say?' he asked himself.
"Inu-yasha?" kagome didn't seem to be going anywhere, she was determined to find out what he said.
"kagome�" he got up slowly and faced her beautiful brown eyes. 'beautiful? where did that come from?'
"hai�?"
inu-yasha took a deep breath, how could he swallow his pride like this? Well no one was around to insult him, except kagome, but he had a feeling that she wouldn't do that, "Kagome. please," he swallowed again, this was going to be harder then he thought, "please, I'm sorry, but please, don't leave, not quiet yet. stay. with me." he looked down at her hopefully hoping with all his heart that she wouldn't 'sit' him, run away from him, or do anything like that.
Kagome stared back into his eyes. Hers seemed glazed over with some unknown emotion and he hoped that deep down inside, she didn't hate him. and that's when it hit him:
He loved her.
he couldn't believe how much of a baka he'd been to not realize it until now. he wondered and hoped that she didn't hate him. he dreamed, but maybe that's all it could ever be�
"ok�inu�yasha�" inu-yasha snapped out of his thoughts to look down upon the face of the women he loved. She showed no signs of hatred and her eyes shown with love. LOVE? no way she could love him. no possible way.

Kagome looked into the golden eyes of inu-yasha. What was he doing? what was he saying? he had asked her to stay, he'd said please, and I'm sorry, something that she thought he'd never say in his life. But he said it, and he was standing so close to her that her heart was pounding in her chest and she realized it:
She loved him.
She'd known it all along but was too ashamed to admit it. To love a stubborn jerk who loved her reincarnation. How could she feel this way, how could she fall for him, this, this jerk? but she didn't care, she loved him, with all of her heart, and she hoped that deep down, he felt the same way too. But then her heart sank, how could it ever work? her eyes filled with tears.

inu-yasha paniced, why was she crying. Oh he hated it so much when she cried.
"nani? Kagome, why�why are you crying�I'm sorry to upset you!"
She looked into his eyes and she smiled, "I'm sorry inu-yasha, it isn't you, I'm crying because�" she couldn't finish. There was no way she could ever admit to him that she loved him. HE loved kikyo. HE only needed her to find the shikon no tama. She let her tears glide down her cheeks.
She suddenly felt the presence of a light touch wiping away her tears and looked up to see inu-yasha looking into her eyes, "please. Kagome, why are you crying, you can tell me." he lightly wiped away her tears with her thumbs and she let the tears fall.
She glanced at the well, she could tell him and then make a dash for the well. Yeah that's what she'd do. It was perfect.
"well�inu-yasha. The fact is�that I�.I����I�.." she looked away from his eyes, this was tough, "I love you."
She then pulled free of his hands and ran towards her the well. Inu-yasha just stood there, too shocked to move. He looked at where Kagome had stood, and watched as she dove into the well.

'oh my god I'm the biggest baka that's ever lived. how could I have been so stupid. he loves kikyo, now I've ruined our friendship, my hard earned friendship I might add. I'll never be able to face him again! lord I'm such a baka!' she wiped away a tear as she climbed out of the well. Though she'd told him finally how she felt, she now felt as if she'd never be able to face him again. She let the tears fall silently and ran to her room.
"even so�I can't help wondering. what if I stayed�what would he have said?" she silently drifted off into a dreamless sleep.

Inu-yasha stood there. 'damn it you blew it, you could have told her! you could have told her how you felt! damn you you�re the biggest baka that's ever lived!' he cursed himself mentally and felt like kicking himself. He loved her too but what could he do. Her reaction was very startling and it almost seemed she was ashamed to be in love with him.
"Well at least she's finally gone." came a cool, icy voice from behind him, he recognized the voice at once.
"Kikyo."

Kagome snapped out of her dreams. She felt like something was wrong. Some thing back home. 'home? what the hell am I saying. Inu-yasha's time isn't my home, I must be really tired! mou, I should get to sleep.'
But try as hard as she could her mind kept drifting back to the strange feeling that she had tingling in her stomach. She suddenly knew what she had to do. She jumped out of bed, not caring she was in pajama's, grabbing her bow and arrows she returned to the well.

"well inu-yasha, now we'll have no interruptions while I send you to hell with me!" she shot an arrow which pinned his right arm to the tree behind him.
Inu-yasha didn't even flinch, he was too surprised about what kagome had said. 'she loves me. she loves me! and I sat there like a fool and let her run away without her knowing how I felt. im such a baka! I should have told her. now its too late, she'll probably never come back because I didn't say anything. and now im going to go to hell with kikyo.' Kikyo shot him with yet another arrow in his left arm.
"Inu-yasha, you've been so wraped up in your thoughts you didn't even notice me pin your entire body to this tree."
Inu-yasha looked down to see him off the ground and pinned to the tree. he snorted, "last time you shot me you only used one arrow. why 4 all of a sudden?"
"I plan to make you suffer."

Kagome stood in front of the well. As much as she wanted to go to inu-yasha, she couldn't help but feel her dignity is cracked. She couldn't force herself to go see him. What if he wasn't in trouble, what if she was so tired she was seeing and feeling things again?
She sighed, she might as well go back to bed. She turned to leave, but suddenly she felt a sharp pain in her arms and legs.' What's going on? what am I feeling? why do I feel such pain.' suddenly her head snapped up. 'Inu-yasha!'
She suddenly had no doubt in her mind as she jumped down the well.

"well I never asumed it would be this simple to kill you, Inu-yasha."
Inu-yasha growled, he reached to his tetsuigua and kikyo laughed.
"surely, inu-yasha, you have some sense. You can't use your sword against the one you love."
"And you shouldn't kill the one you love." Inu-yasha retorted.
"I loved you once inu-yasha, now I cannot let you live. Goodbye." She pulls out an arrow with a spell on it, preparing to shoot inu-yasha in the heart and kill him once and for all.
Inu-yasha shut his eyes. 'How I wish I could have told you, kagome, my love.' With the pain overtaking him, he could just feel his senses weakening and his vission blurred.

Kaogme landed on the bottom of the well with a thud. She got up as soon as her thoughts gathered and she climbed out of the well to see�
"kikyo. NO. I knew it, inu-yasha was with her, I should leave them be. No use in staying." but then she realized that inu-yasha was pinned to the tree, and that kikyo had her arrow pointed at him, he seemed knocked out, or at least he's given up hope!
Suddenly something clicked inside her and everything seemed to be moving in slow motion. She had to save inu-yasha, even if he didn't love her back, she had too, for him and herself.
She was soon aware that she was moving, very quickly, an arrow all ready mounted onto her bow and pointed at kikyo's hands, hoping to knock the bow astray.
The arrow realsed and for once, was on target. It flashed through the air and hit kikyo's hand. But she wasn't fast enough because the arrow was already shooting towards inu-yasha.
"Inu�yasha�no." she ran as fast as she could, with unknown speed and was soon in the cross fire. Without her knowing, the arrow was in hand and had stopped in her track.
She stared dumbly at the arrow resting in her hand and kikyo stared with alarm and worry in her usually dead eyes.

Inu-yasha's mind was closed and so were his eyes, he was excepting death, he wished that he could do so many things, his main thing would be to tell kagome that he loved her all along. He waited for the arrow to peirce his heart, but nothing happened.
He cracked an eye opened to see kagome standing with the arrow directed at him in her hands. He blinked. 'Kagome, she came back?' he was surprised, why hadn't he smelt her? His eyes looked to kikyo, who looked just as surprised as he was.
"Hm. So I was interrupted, no matter," she smiled wickedly, "why not kill this so called, 'reincarnation' of mine." She raised her bow again and smirked.
Kagome backed up into inu-yasha, and he could feel her heart beating, her breath ragged as if scared of what kikyo might do, his heart yearned for her, and best of all, she loved him.
"Kagome?" he asked as she turned suddenly to look into his eyes, "don't give up." he would have said more but an arrow pierced him in the stomach making the pain return. he yelped in pain.
"Inu-yasha!" she turned to kikyo with pure anger in her eyes as she charged kikyo.
Kikyo, not excepting to be charged wasn't fast enough as kagome threw her into a tree, with this new found strengh.
"You hurt inu-yasha, and you're planning to kill both of us, that I will not forgive!" She came down on her and started to punch her, HARD. if kikyo could cry, she would but instead reached up and blasted kagome with her powers.
"Fool of a child, I am way more powerful then you'll ever be, and I will kill inu-yasha and you're sorry ass!" While kikyo was saying this though, she didn't see the advancing kagome, with her own miko powers as she blasted kikyo with an even more powerful blast.
Kikyo was suddenly aware that she was unmatched and ran into the trees, never admiting that the little girl had defeated her.

Kagome fell to her knees. 'where did that power come from? how was I stronger then kikyo?' She was suddenly aware of a noise behind her.
"Inu-yasha!" she got up and ran too him, realizing him from his pinned position, all the while inu-yasha stared at her, his emotions masked, even in his golden eyes.
"kagome?" he asked as soon as he was free. "thank you," he scooped her up into his arms and hugged her, not sure of what to say next.
"oh�inu-yasha�" she started to sob into his fire-rat jacket and clutched onto it as if her life depended on it.
"Kagome, please, please don't cry." he grabbed her chin and lifted her face to meet his heavenly gaze. His thumbs wiped away the tears flowing down her cheeks, "I hate it when you cry."
"I can't help it inuyasha" she sobbed and looked up at him, "I love you and you don't love me back."
inu-yasha looked at her with the sweetest eyes, filled with love and caring, "oh, Kagome, my love."
Kagome stared at him, alarmed, 'is he making fun of me? mao, I don't think I could live if he was, I love him and he's rubbing it in my face.' she was jolted out of her thoughts to feel her hair being pulled back behind her ears and looking at inuyasha.
"Kagome. I�I�love you too." he blushed a little and let kagome lean into him.
"oh inu-" but she was cut off by the tender lips of inu-yasha.

Sango stirred. Kagome and Inu-yasha had been gone for awhile now. She wasn't worried, they were probably near the bone eater's well. She sighed, she didn't know why inu-yasha was so pig headed some times.
"Miroku-sama, wake up."
"Hm. what? what is it?" he snorted from his resting position.
"Do you hear something?"
"No. no I didn't. go to sleep."
Sango was really hearing the pitter-patter of nothing (I just thought of adding something with them, sue me.)

Kagome walked back in inu-yasha's arms, the fight had made her very tired and he'd been more then welcome to carry her. She sighed and leaned into him. 'he loves me! not kikyo, me. only me, me. HE LOVES ME' she smiled and sighed again, this was the life, perfect, and he loved her and she loved him.
She smiled up at him and he looked at her with longing in his eyes.
"I love you inu-yasha," she kissed his cheek and rubbed his ears.
A small pur escaped his throat as he leaned into her soft and lovely touch.
"I love you too. Kagome." He purred and she giggled.
"I didn't know that dogs purred."
"we only pur for the people we love." he smiled warmly down at her. 'damn when did I get this mushy? I guess it was when I started to love her.' he sighed, he loved her rubbing his ears and hoped that she'd never stop.
She giggled again as his purr grew louder and louder, "stay with me forever, inu-yasha."
"I will, kagome, I'll never let you go." and his girp grew tighter around her as she sank into his touch.
"Good." she paused and then the dread came over her, "inu-yasha? what�I mean�well�" she trailed off and inu-yasha thought what she was trying to say.
"What kagome?"
"Well. I'm human, so what�" she couldn't finish, but inu-yasha knew what she was saying.
"Don't worry, beloved, we'll think of some way�" but he too had his doubts.
"I know how." came a voice from within the hut they were marching up too, they hadn't noticed where they were or that they were at kaedae's (SP) hut, "there's a spell, very complicated, but it just might work, if your willing, kagome, to live with inu-yasha for the rest of your long life, if you agree."
'well that was fast' kagome though, and she could feel inu-yasha droop against her.
'great, she'll never want to give up her human life for ME! she'll probably run back home, never to see me again.'
"ok." came kagome's simple answer, without thinking about it at all.
"NANI!? you mean, you'll do that, for me?"
"Of course inu-yasha!"
"But you'll see everyone you know die, right before your eyes."
"So will you, but at least you'll have someone to love you when that happens"
Inu-yasha fell silent.

baba-sama sat and prepared the spell while kagome and inu-yasha held each other, preparing for the difficult deision to take place, they were waiting for Shippou, Sango, and Miroku to wake up, hoping that they would except it.
"Inu-yasha." inu-yasha didn't have to hear anymore and let kagome lean into him, her breath becoming deep.
"Sleep, love, sleep, I'll be here when you awake." he said to the sleeping form of his beloved.
"inu-yasha, all we need is some of yours and kagome's hair and the potion will only have to simmer for three days." Baba-sama held out her hand for his hair and he reluctently pulled some of his and kagome's hair, who flinched when he pulled. To relax her he ran his clawed fingers through her hair.
"Tell me how this works again baba?"
She sighed and faced the hanyou, "Well, the potion should bound your souls together and make it so that you'll share the same life-span, it's quiet simple, only the spell isn't of course."
"Feh. as long as it works." he ran his claws softly along kagome's cheek.
"hm. You've grown quiet attached to kagome since last I saw you."
"feh," he didn't feel like explaining to baba how much he loved kagome and never wanted to leave her. EVER.

Three days later, inu-yasha and kagome looked with disgust at the potion before them.
"Ready you two?" baba asked as she handed them some.
"hai, I am." kagome took both of them and handed one to inu-yasha smiling, "ready inu-yasha?"
"hai." he sniffed the potion and nearly passed out from the smell.
Sango, Miroku, Shippou, and Baba watched as the couple drank the potion and looked each other in the eyes, nothing but love and hope shinning through.
"Sango-sama? do you think they'll be happy?"
"I do, Miroku-sama, I truly do."

~Five years later~
Sango & Miroku- with the miricles of a thousand gods, sango and Miroku get married and have two kids. Both girls, thank goodness. fushigi and hi. Both looked like sango only wore clothing like their father.
Shippou- hates the fact that kagome ended up with inu-yasha but got over it.
Inu-yasha and Kagome- had seven children. One boy the rest girls. The boy seems to be a clone of inu-yasha therefore named inu-yasha jr. The girls' names are from youngest to oldest: ame, jiyuu, yuuki, kaze, mahou, inochi, and yume. inu-yasha jr., ame, mahou, and yuuki all have inu-yasha's dog ears. Jiyuu, yuuki, kaze, and inochi have there mother's black hair while the others have silver.
All and all, they lived a peaceful happy life.
