| Mira is the beautiful black 00' daughter of Nighter. His first black foal and a unexpected one at that. Mira was born in the cold of January, something we had not planned for at all. She was the product of her own dam's decision. Her name carries on both her sire and dams name and was chosen by my mother. Mira has been spoiled rotten since day one. She is classic for joining in trouble with Shubra. Although as playful and friendly as she is, Mira can also act twice her age and will hang with her mother and the foal that she may have at the time. Mira has been shown halter, but we decided to quit showing Breed Shows all together and just concentrate on our horses. Mira did have another brother, Nemo, who sadly passed away on December 1st. He was to be our replacement stallion of the farm and carry on Nighter's legacy. Mira is now officially working under saddle fulltime. Mira is ridden and shown both Western and Huntseat. She does 2 stride flying lead changes. Side passes. Is very well collected and has months worth of work since summer of 04' as well as hours logged on the trail. While not listed for sale she possibly could be to the right home. |

| Mira is a Rabicano in minimal form. No she does not have the classic "skunk tail, racoon tail, tail band, white capped tail" that you see commonly on rabicano's. A Rabicano is not required to have this to be one. Mira expresses her minimal version of rabicano by roaning around her pasterns, like her sire. She also has flank roaning that at one time was only 2-3 hairs and is now multiplying slowly to more and more hairs showing up in the flanks yearly. Mira has a 50% chance to pass this onto all of her foals when bred to a non-rabicano stallion. She can have a foal that will be as minimal rabicano as herself, up to a fully rabicano roaned, belly spotting, and other signs of rabicano. There are no current breeding plans for Mira. She will be used excessively under saddle and will be shown this summer heavily not only in open twilight shows, but in 4-H as well. These are both great experiences for a young horse and are just as important as if she were showing Class A and beyond. Competition will be tough, but Mira will be one of a few Arabians representing the breed in a Stock horse based area. |
