03' Black Tobiano Roan Spotted Draft

Boudica, named after the woman warrior queen of the Iceni of Britain. "Boo", is a very sharp and gorgeous PMU foal Yes, that is right, this girl is a product of PMU, and a beautiful product at that. We ended up with probably the sweetest little filly you could ever ask for. Boo was put into our trailer via pipe gates. When she got home, we had a halter on her in no more than 5 minutes! With close contact, and constant handling, Boo was as advanced in training as a 6 month old weanling should be. The amazing thing is it only took her 5 days! She leads, ties, handles all over her body. Halter comes on and off without a fuss. She picks up all four feet, and holds them willingly with no fuss. Already trots in hand, and is learning to stand square for halter. With the amount of time I (Diane) have spent with Boo, she thinks I am her mother and I had to assume that role for a while until we could completely introduce her to her new herd.
Boo participated in the Isabella Co. Fair. This was Boo's first time away from home, first trailering experience, and first bathing experience. All of which she did well. The judge really liked how Boo was put together and suggested that she is bred on in the future. Boo was quite well behaved. She placed first in grade mares as there is no such thing as Spotted Draft class. She was the only horse. She did compete back in Showmanship for Hattie's age group in which she took 2nd out of 3. She competed back in Championship class but neither Boo nor Wix were picked. We had a good time overall and enjoyed our first draft horse showing experience. I am sure there will be more in the future.

Boo now stands 15hh as a 2yr old. We don't expect Boo to really get any taller. We're hoping for another inch in the front to match the hind. Boo has good legs and a good heart. She will be sent out this fall for harness training.
