| Bodi was born in 1995. I was not sure when so gave him May 8th, after Riaz. I visited him for the first time as a yearling while attending a Oldenburg Kuering. Bodi was a cute wooly thing at the time in pale yellow and dapple marks along with his classic chocolate legs and ears. He had a wild white fuzzy mane and he was just as large as his Oldenburg companions. My next visit with Bodi would be after I found a advertisement for him as a 2yr old in the paper. We visited and ended up buying him. After a small mishap between seller and buyer Bodi came home. Regardless that the seller felt I would not provide her ideals of a good home for Bodi, Bodi does have a good life and always will. He is not for sale no matter what the price offered nor the circumstances. When I got Bodi he truly did not know a whole lot. He led, decently but was in your face and space at times. So we started there, just like any young horse and went through anything and everything I could think of. He started his under saddle work as a early 4yr old. We ended up showing walk/trot in 4-H with about 5 days worth of riding on him. He was a very good sport about it considering and placed accordingly. He placed VERY well in halter class and took 3rd out of 29 horses (mainly qh's and paints). The judge wanted to know where I got him as she told me she's been trying to breed for something like him for a long time. I assume she had Morgan's as well?? Bodi did not finish maturing and getting a real body until he was 5. Note the difference in the two photo's directly below. Bodi's riding has been on hold for a long time due to other young horses.. I plan on putting final touches and perfecting collection, his leads, response time, and neck reining. Bodi is versatile and will ride anything I ask of him. Sorry though, he does not care for working over fences. |

| Bodi to the left.This was taken from a video of Bodi shortly after his arrival as a 2yr old. Bodi to the right was taken a week ago in Sept 05 now as a 10yr old. Bodi has changed seasonally ever since his ownership. He has darkened considerably and no longer sports his sparkling whites. I suspected Silver Dapple after reading about it through the internet in 01'. He has many similarities. You would not think it looking at him, but Bodi is a tested and confirmed SOOTY PALOMINO. | Bodi is every now and then babysitting my 5yr old cousing Alexis. Although I consider Bodi Intermediate mainly because of his personality and attitude. For some reason though he bonds with Alexis and just seems to know when to cool his jets. They only travel around our yard as that is all I feel comfortable with them doing outside of me handling the reins. He's a big boy packing a very little girl. Note Bodi wears a 1980' Version of the Poco Lena Reining Bridle. Single ear. Comes with Romel Reins which also have silver furels. If ANYONE has one available in usable condition for sale please email us through the front page of the site. |
