He had always been insisting that main characters of Children stories must be children and strictly followed in his attempts. His sintilating novels 'Paraman Arul' and 'Palingu Mandapam' were nice example for this.
He had been advising upcoming children writers that they should write in other subjects too than stories and novels for children. He stood as an example in writing books on Science, Geography and Travel. They had warm reception from the public in sales.
He has received many awards including V.G.Panneerdas award for the year and two first prizes and one second prize for his books to be the best books publshed during their years.
His story 'Kuruviyin Sabam' based on phsycology was a much appreciated one and was translated in manu languages including Telugu. This story was included in the non-detailed text book of Malaysian govt. His stories had also been included in text books(non-detailed) of Tamilnadu govt. too.
He spent his life until death for the uplift of children writing and he died(07-08-1995) when he was the president of Tamil Children writers Association. It is to be noted that he was one of the founders of that association.
