The company is Textron Marine & Land Systems, and so far, the only customer is Thailand, a country of dense jungles where a fast light tank can perform much better than a heavy, slow MBT. Fist protoype was ready in 1984, being delivered 106 units to Thailand between 1988 and 1990. No new components have been developed for this vehicle, being used all proven autoparts.
Standars equipment includes a NBC system, stabilised main armament, computerised fire control system, fire detection and supresson system, also can fit thermal sights, different armour levels, and a land navigator system. Recently, It has been developed an improved armour prototype, the Stingray II LT, in 1995. By the way, you can see in the picture what kind of tank we're talking about.
