Northstar at Tahoe and Bass Lake/Oakhurst in CA... This was our second time riding up in Northstar. The first time we went, we did Northstar on a Saturday and the Flume the next day. I would share some of the great views of Lake Tahoe from the Flume trail but I forgot to bring a camera that day. Suffice it to say that the Flume is one of mountain biking's most scenic trail.
The Oakhurst/Bass Lake area is also quite a lot of fun. You should check out two excellent trails - the Goat Mountain Trail and the Willow Creek Trail. Both offer great downhill singletrack and lots of excitement. And after getting in some technical riding, relax and cool off in the lake. Or better yet, rent a jet ski and have some fun in the water.
