If you're a mountain biker, you hit your local trails every weekend. Sometimes 3 or 4 times a week. You go on the internet bike sites and read the magazines. You check out new bikes, parts and pictures. You find the beautifully shot pictures from faraway trails particularly inspiring. And maybe just once, twice or a few times during the year, you venture outside your local trails and go for the unfamiliar mountain bike experience - your own mountain bike road trip. Ahhh yes, the road trip. Oftentimes, it becomes the highlight of a riding season. The choices are plentiful - California, Utah, Colorado, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada, the Dakotas. We've been on a few over the years and yet, every year, we look forward to going on a few more.
