Growing up in the Philippines, Ric started playing guitar when he was nine years old by studying Andres Segovia, Laurindo Almeida and especially Chet Atkins. Because of this, Ric's talents blossomed as a young artist. While in his country, he received a Bachelors Degree in Music and also received a scholarship to study guitar. After winning numerous competitions and awards, Ric performed in many five-star hotels and cruise ships.
Ric is currently a featured artist at the annual Chet Atkins Appreciation Society convention in Nashville, Tennessee as well as the Association of Fingerstyle Guitarists in Los Angeles. He also currently has three albums/CDs available, all of which contain wonderful fingerstyle guitar renditions of popular jazz, classical, and contemporary music.
