(Unprofessional Poker Tour)

This year we will be adding a championship to our monthly poker games.

How it works:

Each time we play poker(dates will be set in advance and all participates will be notified) we will be setting aside 10% of the pot for a end of the year champion
With each tournament, players will have the opportunity to score points(see point allocation at bottom of the page)
There will be 2 possible champions named. The person who accumulates the most points throughout the year will win ½ of the season pot, and the winner of the tournament of champions will win the other ½.

The tournament of champions:

This will be a tournament that takes place at the end of the year, and it will include the 8 highest point scorers from the year. The highest point scorer will have 100% of the chips at this tournament and the other 7 will get a % of chips according to how many points they scored compared with the leader. (Example: Highest scorer has 100 points and gets 100% of the chips, 2^nd place has 90 points so they get 90% of the chips, 8^th place has 50 points so they get 50% of the chips)

Location: Tim Easter and Travis Rollman’s houses (First 2 dates are Sept 14, and Oct. 6, both at Tim Easter’s)

Time: Poker starts at 7, with additional tournaments to follow depending on available players and time (at least 2 tournaments will be played each night, players can be blinded if running late)

Cost: $10 a tournament

Chips: Everyone gets 600 chips

Blinds: Start at 1-2 and double every 15 minutes until there are 4 players and then they double every 10 minutes, and when there are 2 players the blinds double every 5 minutes.

Points:

All players get 1 point for participating in a tournament
1^st place gets as many points as players in the tournament(10 players = 10 points)
2^nd place gets ½ the points as players (10 players = 5 points)
3^rd place gets ¼ the points as players (10 players =2.5 points)
4^th place only scores points if there are 12 or more players and they receive 1/8 the points as players (12 players = 1.5 points)

Scoring: Each month all players will receive an e-mail with the point totals and pot amount.

Eligibility: Anyone can play as much or as little as convenient, but since we are accumulating points, it pays to play!
