FIRST TIME SKATING WITH
DC ICE BREAKERS
When you arrive, look for the DC Ice Breakers check-in desk (near the Iceplex ticket booth), so I can give you a name tag.
Skating is $8 (plus $3 for skate rental).
The rink rents Hockey skates and Figure skates. Not sure which to rent? Try Figure skates first.
Skates should be snug. Try renting one size smaller than you normally wear. You're free to exchange them, if they don't fit.
Dress in layers. You may find yourself getting warm on the ice. Wear gloves to protect your hands, in the event of a fall.
Lockers are available for 50 cents (2 quarters). Lockers are in the hallway directly behind the ticket booth.
