Actual
Performance Two
sizes of
rechargeable
batteries
were used
for the
test. They
are the
Sanyo
Twicell
700 and
the Sanyo
Twicell
1600. The
Sanyo
Twicell
700 is a
AAA sized
rechargeable
Ni-Mh
battery
with a
capacity
of 700mAh
while the
Sanyo
Twicell
1600 is a
AA sized
rechargeable
battery
with a
capacity
of
1600mAh.
These
capacities
are
currently
one of the
highest in
their
respective
categories.
These
rechargeable
batteries
are
quality
cells
produced
in Japan
by Sanyo. Sanyo

The
batteries
were
discharged
using a
300mA
current
draw to
ensure
that the
measurements
taken
reflect a
fully
discharged
state to
begin
with.
Voltage
readings
were taken
with a
multi-meter
and the
fully
charged
batteries
were given
sufficient
time for
the
voltage to
stabilise
after the
fast
charge
process. ConclusionThe
results
speak for
themselves.
The actual
performance
is even
faster
than the
estimated
timings.
Apart from
the speed,
the IC is
equipped
with many
useful
features,
practically
an
all-in-one
product.
You do not
need to
purchase
additional
equipment
for
discharging
batteries
nor do you
need to
purchase a
timer to
stop the
charging
process to
avoid over
charging
your
batteries.
This is
truly a
well-made
intelligent
charger,
which is
versatile
in many
aspects.
With an
appropriate
DC
adaptor,
you can
also use
the IC in
the car
while on
the move. I
have yet
to find
any
shortcomings
with the
IC. It has
been
providing
consistent
performance
for over
half a
year,
together
with the
Sanyo
rechargeable
batteries.
It may be
priced
above your
average
charger
but at
this
performance
level, the
premium is
certainly
worth
every
penny. It
will,
however be
nice, if
it can
simultaneously
recharge
up to four
batteries
at any one
time.
This
will be
like
adding
icing to a
cake,
making it
a truly
excellent
product.
Now,
if I
can only find a
higher
capacity
AAA sized
rechargeable
battery
for my pda
