Depending on what time of year you come to stay and visit, fresh organic fruits and vegetables are available from the garden along with organic beef, chicken and farm fresh eggs.
Wild life is in abundance here at Whippoorwill, from deer and turkey to glimpses of beer and bobcat, groundhogs, turtles, water fowl and migratory bird, humming birds, cardinal, whippoorwills, robins, bluejays, warblers, cranes, and herons. There are also numerous wild flowers growning on property and up in the woods.
Come in the spring to see the trees turn green and the flowers rise up. Come in the winter peace and stillness of the snow falls and unobstructed views of roaming wildlife. Come in the summer and enjoy the foods of the garden and the hundreds of colors of greens in the grass to the trees. Come in the fall and enjoy the changing colors of the trees. All year long there is something wonderful to enjoy out at Whippoorwill Art Studio.
Also check out the local festival scene from bluegrass to jamborees, arts and craft festivals to harvest festival and saturday night car races at the fair grounds. We are also located just minutes away from Rails-to-Trails, Antiques and rafting. There are also many hiking trails in the Lewis-Wetzl NWR and The Jug NWR with lots of great fishing in the local creeks, Ohio and Middle Island Rivers and Conaway Lake.
