UNDERSTANDING A CAR
By Mattricks

In current copycat Hollywood, it’s very rare that we get to see an idea as original as we will get to see in Pink Moon Production’s upcoming release, ‘Aftermath.’

What is this amazing plot you ask?

As stated by Marty in an earlier issue of The Voice…

"The storyline follows four main characters and they all really have equal screen time. The first is Homer, a recently laid off single father who’s mistakes nearly a decade ago have made it nearly impossible for him to get a new job. Then there’s Kevin, a well off guy who received the bulk of his rich father’s inheritance after his death. Kevin started up a project all his own. The project is basically a small software company. Kevin hired Maria’s husband as a lead programmer on a series of educational children’s games. Through a very unfortunate tragedy Maria’s Husband was killed in a car accident, which forced the company to eventually fold. Aside from these characters is Mike, a small market owner who works in a dangerous neighborhood."

With a plot outline like that and a producer with a reputation of churning out critical successes, there are already whispers in the HTG community about this movie being an award candidate. I caught up with Marty while he was urinating on the front steps of Bryan’s home and asked him if this added any pressure or nervousness for him on March 4th.

He replied, "Sure it adds nervousness, especially when I haven’t released a movie in over a year. However, it is the kind of pressure I can handle." He then tried serving me lemon snow cones so I thought that was the best time to end our conversation. As I was walking away I asked if he was worried about getting Roundhouse Kicked to the face in the Box Office by Walker. He looked at me confidently and said, "I’m not worried at all, I care about what the people think more than making big money."

On my way back to the Voice office building I ran into 21st Century Cat Co-Studio Head, Dom, giving all his money to homeless people. I asked him for a minute of his time and he gave me a big hug (what a nice, yet creepy guy). I asked him what attracted him to this project.

"Marty is one of the easiest people to work with and when you add his talent and plot idea, it was pretty much a no brainer," He replied with a huge smile. I then started walking away but he wouldn’t allow it. He gave me a ride in his environmental friendly car but before I walked in I remembered the question on everyone’s mind. Is he worried about getting roundhouse kicked in the box office? He just laughed and drove off. So if you’re looking for a serious drama in a comedy weekend, make sure you see ‘Aftermath,’ starring Peter Krause, Nicole Kidman, Billy Crudup, and Jamie Foxx.
