DUNCAN (V.O.)
Nash and I threw one party in our
entire lives.
FADE TO:
INT. THE GOLD MANSION - 10 YEARS AGO
Teenage versions of DUNCAN and NASH stand next to a group of
firemen, horrified. One of the firemen turns to the boys.
FIREMAN
Tell me again, how did you set the
swimming pool on fire?
NASH shrugs his shoulders.
NASH
It seemed like a good idea at the
time.
FIREMAN
I normally wouldn't ask anybody
this but...
He looks at the boys with a confused look on his face.
FIREMAN (cont'd)
Are you boys mentally retarded?
DUNCAN
The jury is still out on him.
NASH
Where did my cougar go?
A woman screaming is heard off camera.
DUNCAN
Mom!
DUNCAN runs off camera, leaving NASH and the fireman.
FIREMAN
Wanna smoke some heroin?
CUT TO:
EXT. OUTSIDE FRIZZO AND NASH'S PLACE - PRESENT DAY
NASH and FRIZZO both sit in separate lawn chairs with their
summer clothes on. They are both holding nerf bow and arrows.
FRIZZO fires towards NASH's leg, connecting. NASH responds by
hitting FRIZZO in the arm. Neither one of the two look too
excited.
NASH
So bored.
FRIZZO
I hate Sundays.
NASH
We seriously need to start getting
some hot female ass over here.
FRIZZO
If we're going to do that, then you
need to shower every once in a
while. I can smell your taint from
here.
The postman walks over to the two men and hands them an
envelope.
NASH
Since when was the post office open
on Sunday?
POSTMAN
Uhh...it's Tuesday.
FRIZZO
Solving the mystery of why Duncan
has repeatedly tried to contact us
today.
POSTMAN
Yeah dudes, it sucks that you're
being evicted.
NASH
I'm sorry. We're what?
POSTMAN
That's an eviction notice.
NASH
You read our mail.
POSTMAN
Well...yeah.
FRIZZO
I appreciate your honesty. However,
I am disappointed in you Lester.
Please leave.
The postman bows his head in shame and walks aimlessly off
camera.
FRIZZO (cont'd)
I think he learned his lesson.
NASH takes the eviction notice out of the already opened
envelope. He reads it.
NASH
Dude, it says that you didn't pay
rent.
FRIZZO
Oh yeah, I was meaning to tell
you...
CUT TO:
ONE WEEK EARLIER
FRIZZO is walking down the street counting his money. A young
boy tugs on his shirt.
BOY
Hey Mister, I bet you can't throw
this ball over that roof.
FRIZZO looks at the very high roof in the distance.
FRIZZO
You're on. I'll put 200 dollars on
it.
FRIZZO hands the kid his money. The kid kicks FRIZZO in the
balls and takes off running. FRIZZO drops to the ground and
loses his breath, ultimately passing out.
CUT BACK:
EXT. OUTSIDE FRIZZO AND NASH'S PLACE
FRIZZO
That kid's gonna be licking my
chode next time I see him.
NASH
I'm going to work.
CUT TO:
INT. THE GOLD MINE
DUNCAN, FRANCHILLA, ANDREW, and CIARA are lined up all facing
forward. MAMA GOLD marches up and down the line.
MAMA
I am going away for a while. While
I am gone, I better not hear
anything of wild parties, creepy
orgies, or employee shootings going
on here. Does everyone understand?
EVERYONE
For the most part, maam!
DUNCAN
I don't know why you're telling us.
Frizzo and Nash are the usual
suspects.
MAMA
It'll be your job to relay this
message to those little fuckers.
CUT TO:
INT. THE GOLD MINE - LATER
NASH walks into the store with a purpose. DUNCAN is standing
behind the register.
DUNCAN
Mom dropped by. She's going away
for a while. Said no parties here,
while she's gone.
NASH
I'm throwing a rave tomorrow, here.
DUNCAN
Did noise not just exit my lips?
DUNCAN looks around for a response.
DUNCAN (cont'd)
Ciara?
CIARA
Lighten up, grandpa. A rave sounds
pretty cool actually.
DUNCAN
Don't go to the dark side Ciara. I
need an ally.
CIARA
Quit being so responsible.
DUNCAN
Someone needs to be.
CIARA
We already have Franchilla.
DUNCAN points to FRANCHILLA. He is wearing a set of
headphones and playing the air guitar.
FRANCHILLA
(singing)
Someday love will find you. Break
those chains that bind you. True
love will remind you...
NASH
I'm gonna make some flyers.
DUNCAN
I'm having nothing to do with this.
CIARA
Seriously Duncan, stop being so
afraid of your mom. I'm totally on
board.
NASH
Alright then, we have a little over
twenty four hours to get this party
started.
NASH takes a fifty out of the register and hands it to CIARA.
NASH (cont'd)
You go buy as much beer as this
will get you. We'll get more later.
I'll make the flyers. Frizzo can
sell them.
CIARA
Aye aye.
The same woman from last episode walks past the store. NASH
notices.
NASH
It's her again.
"Holland, 1945" by Neutral Milk Hotel plays as NASH sprints
outside. He looks down the street and sees her turning left.
He goes the other way hoping to cut her off.
Here is your standard running through traffic scene. NASH
weaves between people to avoid a collision. He finally
crashes into someone. They both go down. He helps the person
up.
NASH (cont'd)
I'm sorry miss...
He notices that the person is the woman he was chasing. She
locks eyes with him. Her name is MARIA.
MARIA
It's okay. Hi.
NASH
Hi...
