Jools

bra hunting
Recently I set out on an endeavor which I never meant to be one of my projects, mainly because it's kind of lame. I wanted a good-looking bra that fit, for a good price. It was asking a lot, but I've never had one before and I wanted to be bold. But I came out of my search a changed lingerie shopper, and so decided to share what I learned with the lovely patrons of PinkLink.
    Ross: The Discovery
I was at Ross, looking for pants when I somehow meandered into the bra section. I had noticed of late that my bras were getting a little tight, and wondered if I needed a new size. The one thing I have to say about their bra department is that it is cluttered. It was kinda difficult to figure out how things were set up, but then again, I find many things difficult. I managed to nab one decent bra in my assumed size (it was reversable...oooh!), and proceeded to the changing rooms. It fit, but it looked stupid, so I didn't get it.
    The Days Following
I sat around in depression for a bit. They keep growing and they're not stopping and it's getting harder and harder to find underwear I like. Woe is me
    Mervyns: It Begins
Looked at a few different ones, two I liked. One fit funny, but it was really cute. The other was sooo comfortable, but hideous, in this horrible nude color. Who buys nude bras? What's the point? You can pretend you're not wearing anything while haha fooling them? I don't get it.
    Big Lots: Later That Day
Yes, Big Lots does have lingerie, and yes it is scary and it is a crappy selection. I found not a thing in my size, and even if I had, they had no dressing rooms, so I wouldn't have bought anything.
JC Penny's: Two Days Later and No Closer...
I found a bunch of things in my size, some of which looked nice when I wasn't wearing them, but I had some trouble locating the dressing room. The closest bets were this $5 clearance pink thing and a fatty cotton bra. The five dollar one had really uncomfortable seams in the cups though, so it was nixed, even though it was five dollars. The cotton one had very comfy cups, but the straps were beastly and the bottom elastic was itchy. The biggest problem at this store was big, fat straps. I wear a lot of tank tops, so that just doesn't do.
Frederick's of Hollywood: Not enough clearance
I knew I could only afford the sale stuff in here, so that's the only place I looked, and the couple bras in my size didn't look very... er, supportive. They were very pretty though. I might go back and check out this lacy one. I dunno, I'll have to think about that. Hey, maybe that could be a poll. Should Jools go back and buy the lacy clearance thingy? Then again, who cares about my underwear. That mindset makes this whole "project" a bit superfluous, though... Continuing on...
    Sears: Uhhh...
Barely looked in here. There was something about it that really didn't appeal to me. Maybe because when I think of Sears, I see couches and tires. Buying clothes there seems really weird to me.
    Victoria's Secret: Getting Closer
I stopped in this one, even though I was looking for cheap things, and Victoria's Secret isn't known to be this. There were all these terrible old vulture women working there. They kept swooping over me and giving me dirty looks. I get the feeling from them that they think young tits aren't worthy of their over-priced underthings. There was one comfy looking style, can't remember the name though. I think it was a seamless something or other. It was a little under $20 though, so I didn't get it, but I promised to if I found nothing else. I'm so sick of bras.
    Mervyns...yes, again
The line almost scared me off entirely, but I figured it would die down while I was trying on my selections. I got three, but the two Bali bras just didn't cut it. I believe they were a little itchy, and they were more expensive too. The other one... The exact bra I tried on at Mervyns the first time. But this time, in black, instead of nude. It's comfortable, it's got teeny straps, it has great support and it was fifteen bucks; a little more than I'd wanted to spend initially, but by this time, I'd had it.
    So in the end...
