    Dear Pink-Link Beauty Advice,
I keep getting really gross bumps all over my legs. I think it could be acne, but I'm not sure. What are they, and how do I get rid of them? Nicole, CA
    Dear Nicole,
Take a close look at those bumps for me... Actually, for yourself. If they pop out a little, and there are lots of them in one general area (not necessarily clustered together), and they look like zits, they're probably zits. To stop them, shave the pimple-free parts of your leg first, saving the acne ridden areas for last. Remember to run your razor under HOT water for 30 seconds to a minute before moving on the the other leg, your pits, or your pubes (especially your pubes...ouch!), and also to change your blade about every month or six weeks. Use a body wash with acne medication, and don't stop doing all this once the zits go away! Even if you can't see them, they can pop back up, so keep it up for a while.
If your spots are blotchy and clumped together, it's probably razor rash. Deal with this painful problem by using soap or a shave gel in the shower, and moisturizing lotion after. Aloe vera is great on all kinds of rashes and burns. If you get it in your pits, try using a gentler deodorant as well
And if you've got ingrowns... Sorry, you'll have to tough it out. Lay off the shaving for a while and be more careful next time. -Jools
