    Basic Meditation for Increased Energy

    Everybody could use a little pick-me-up, although nowadays it seems like it’s always caffeine-induced *sigh*. Well here’s some simple steps for a meditation energizer, keep in mind that there is an infinite number of ways to meditate, this is the correct way, just one way that I’ve tried (and it works!).

    1.Get in a comfortable position. This is vital, if you are sitting in way that say, makes your ass go numb, the whole time you’ll be thinking “Damn, my ass hurts”, which is very distracting.

    2. Begin breathing slowly and rhythmically. Try and breathe like you’re sleeping. Breathe in as deep as you can, hold for five seconds, breathe out fully, wait for five seconds, then repeat. At first it will be a little hard to breathe this slowly right away, but it’ll get easier.

    3. Begin concentrating on all the parts of your body, starting at your feet. Concentrate hard on your feet, tensing them up. Then relax them completely try your hardest to forget they are there at all. From there, concentrate on your lower legs, and so on. Eventually your mind should feel as though it has no body. Try and stay in this place as long as possible.

    4. Count back from 10 when you are ready to finish. As you count down to one, concentrate hard on the though of more and more energy filling your body with each number. Finally open your eyes at one, and you should feel completely revitalized.
