1. Buy bleach. This can come in a complete kit from a store/salon. Or you can buy a bleaching kit like Welllite or Speedlite, in which case you'll have to buy the developer as well. If you do this, I recommend the creme developers as they're easier to put on, not as messy.
2. Mix bleach together in a plastic bowl.
3. Apply to hair with a brush. Your roots will take the bleach the best because they're the healthiest. So, if you have damaged hair at all, it's best to bleach your roots last.
4. Rinse in 20-45 minutes, when your hair is the color you like it.
If there is any orange, you can use a toner, but do not bleach again before 4 weeks, or your hair will burn off.
1. Buy dye.
2. Put vaseline around your hair line, wherever dye may get on your skin that you don't want to show up later.
3. Apply dye to your whole head.
I usually start at the roots, applying in corn-row like sections. Then rub the hair like shampooing lastly..
4. Allow to sit for 45 minutes.
5. Rinse out.
