| The Big Island, Hawai'i |
During Spring Break of April, 2001, a group of friends and I visited the Big Island, Hawai'i. It was my first time visiting Hawai'i, and I was truly mesmerized by its beauty and splendor. The people were friendly and courteous, and the moment was timeless. There was no sense of havoc or rush, and the pace was something I miss living in Silicon Valley.
I tried to capture the wonder on film, hoping that the images will help rekindle the state of awe once I return home. The experience alone is not something I can capture on film or do justice with words.
The following pictures are of the rain forest and Akaka Falls north of Hilo, the sunsets while dining in Kona, and the Black Sands Beach in Punalu'u. I just hope that these pictures give you a glimpse of what I'm raving about.
