Text Box: Half way through the year already! June is usually the month of Tsuyu – the rainy season in Japan. Often temple grounds are blooming with blue, purple, pink and white Ajisais (hydrangeas), and the rivers are teeming with Ayu – Japanese Sweetfish – signaling the start of the fishing season from 1 June.

Text Box: New Operating Venue (as of June 14th, 2008
June this year will also be a milestone for Pink Hibiscus, as we have been invited to operate from the newly established Japan Senta in Tanjong Tokong. The objective of the Japan Senta coincides with that of Pink Hibiscus and we are delighted that with a more regular place to meet, we can now organize a lot more activities for the members. (see back for map)

Parents are also encouraged to join some of the adult workshops at the Japan Senta while waiting for their children’s tuition! Alternatively, you may enjoy the food and coffee at the Sakurambo Café in the Japan Senta.

Saturday activities at the Japan Senta:

2pm

1) Origami Class RM5 per class (material fee separate)
2) English Tuition
3pm
Kid’s Cooking Class RM15 per class (including ingredients)
4:30pm
1) Japanese Playgroup (3 – 6 years old) RM10
2) Japanese for Kids (7 – 10 years old) RM10 + book fee

Amendments to Playgroup
Please note that the class time has been postponed to 4:30pm, and will now only be 1 hour long as we no longer combine the classes for group activity due to the lack of space. Classes and tuition fees remain unchanged at RM10 per class, payable at the beginning of the month. The June Classes will be held on: 14th, 21st, 28th
Fees: RM30.
