| Starting where the first series left off, and with a new batch of characters as well as the old favourites. This time around, a new road is the least of the townspeople's worries, as the action focuses on Hilary Briss and his "special stuff", which begins causing an epidemic of fatal nosebleeds. Gradually, more and more people fall ill, leading to the involvement of the Red Cross, the police and finally the army, as a swoop is made on Briss' butchers shop and all hell breaks loose in a dramatic end in episode six. Tubbs and Edward are back, this time finding themselves in trouble as well - after the return of their son David, and his marriage of a local 'no tail' (whose identity will leave you in stiches), they are suspected of being the cause of the epidemic that is polishing off the locals. The storyline is more involved this time around, with more confident performances and sketches weaving around the backbone of the epidemic story. It's true to say that any of the characters featured here could quite possibly have their own series, they really are classic comedy creations. A better than series one disc wirh great features (see below). |
| EXTRA FEATURES Much like series one, you get another fantastic commentary from the cast and writers, profiles of the characters, a batch of deleted, extended and special effects scenes, alternative title cards, hidden behind the scenes footage and a 30 minute behind the scenes documentary with interviews and rehearsal footage. Basically eveything you'd want over two discs. |
