| UNEQUIVOCAL LOVE SCENE (THE SEA WILL FORGIVE YOU) (MUSCUTT) Quicksilver beach scene observe through your tainted eyes obtrusive afternoon means its not going your way But when the clock strikes youll know its time to believe in everything youve seen Unequivocal love scene imitates your wasted days Positive blood test means its not going your way but the sea will forgive you The sea will forgive you in the meantime youll learn to believe in everything youve seen I always imagined this song as being a nice piece to put at the end of a film or something. Its written like a poem, but can be played like a song I think. SPINALCORD (MUSCUTT) Touch something you shouldnt go with the noises we are the new kids we are the new kids on your block And were taking everything, everything you own sights in the window framed like a TV screen Something steals away behind you but you never see it This was edited right down to the bare minimum, for reasons that I forget. I think it was because I went off on a tangent that involved a mini-story of this woman getting dressed. She spots this car drive past her window and feels a tingle down her spine when she realises this stranger is watching her get dressed, but I cut that bit out. RAILWAY TRACKS (MUSCUTT) Down by the railway tracks lies a girl whos not herself tonight Down by the railway tracks lies a girl whos not herself again its so sad to see shell never make it back to me Theres nothing more to say we all saw the news today And we sigh cos its so sad to see shell never make it back to me Another nice little song, not dissimilar to Unequivocal Love Scene which is like a little story in itself. Its about this girl who gets raped and killed by a railway line, and the newspaper story reporting it. I suppose I could have made it longer, but I thought Id not give away too much in the song about what happens with the girls parents and just leave it as it is. |
