The Care Bear Cousins Live in the Forest of Feelings. They were first discovered with white tummies in one of the Care Bear movies. Since they were helping out the Care Bears on Earth they were each given special symbols by Tenderheart. After the movie they started appearing often in the show.

Braveheart (lion) is the leader of the cousins. He is always ready to help the Care Bears fight evil. The other cousings look up to him be cause he is so kind and caring towards others.

Brightheart (raccoon) is the smart cousin. He always has a quick answer to any problem. Also, he can see in the dark, so he helps when the Care Bears have some night-time work to do.

Cozyheart (penguin) is a very energetic, outgoing penguin. She always has a way to make anyone feel right at home, no matter how far away from home they actually are. When she is around everyone has high spirits.

Gentleheart (lamb) is very quiet and shy. She often comes up with very good ideas to solve a problem, but since she is shy, she keeps it to herself. She will trust almost anyone.

Lotsaheart (elephant) is the strongest of all of the cousins. No matter how hard something is he will keep trying until he manages to do it. He never says no to anyone so he can always be counted on to help out.

Loyalheart (dog) always follows the rules. Everything he does has to be done properly. Because of this characteristic, almost nothing can stand in the way of doing his duty.

Nobleheart (horse) is always where the action is. There is no obstacle that can keep him from getting to it. He believes that if you put your heart to something, there is nothing that can stop you.

Perfect and Polite Panda are both very shy and are very close to each other because of this. They talk in rhyme and always have a compliment. They are quiet but always kind and considerate of others.

Playfulheart (monkey) can always find fun in any situations. He loves to play jokes on people as long as they are funny and won't hurt anyone. He is also good at making faces, climbing, and acrobatics.

Proudheart (cat) is a major perfectionist. She is very picky about every little detail. That's good because when she has a solution to a problem it will hardly ever have anything wrong with it.

Swiftheart (rabbit) is a fuzzy, blue bundle of energy. She is always rushing here and there through the Forest of Feelings and Care-a-lot. Often she is careless about her running and knocks over another Care Bear.

Treatheart (pig) loves friends, get-togethers, and, most of all, food! He always is handing out little gifts and treats to his friends. He shows everyone how to live life to the fullest.
