Baby Talk!

Isis and I have been working on her vocabulary everyday and it's amazing how fast toddlers learn. All you have to do is say something and she picks it up right away. The hardest part for her is memorising what the words mean but even then that's not too hard for here. Here are some of the words and phrases that she's learned.

Animals
Hoshe = Horse
Feesh = Fish
Gahgeesh = Doggie
Moo = Cow
Titi = Kitty
Toocos = Turtles
And no matter how hard I try, to Isis, an elephant will ALWAYS be a Moose! (moosh)

People
Chapis = Lirio (Chapis)
Jo Jo = Jovani (Jo Jo)
Mama = Grandma
Mami = Mommy
Memi = Melody
Omi = Omar
Papa = Grandpa
Tavis = Travis

Around The House
Behbee = Baby
Cheese = Cheese
Chicken = Chicken Nuggets
Cookiesh = Cookies
Eat = Eat
Feeshy = Goldfish (crackers)
Joosh = Something to drink
Petah = Pizza

Commands/Phrases
Ah Go! or Go! = Go
Awshome = Awsome
Bye = Goodbye or ...

Gah Gone = All gone
Go Way! = Go Away
Hahg = Hug
Jampi = Jump
Jesh = Yes
Kay = Okay
Mee meesh = Bedtime (tired) or ...

No Mash = No Mas (no more in Spanish)
Wah Wah = Bathtime
Whatsat? = What was that?
Whe-ah-yoo? = Where are you?

When we work on learning animals I get her a plasic animal toy to represent the animal that were working on so it will be easier for her to make the connection.

Cahs = Cars (the movie)
Chicken = Chicken Little
Doh-wah = Dora (the explorer)
Lala = Lala (from teletubies)
Moe = Nemo

Yabbadoo = Flinstones

I've also been teaching her simple sign language since she was 8 months old so that she doesn't get so frustrated if she can't say what she wants. She knows how to tell me that she wants to eat, she can sign moon, more, all gone, yes, no, and milk. We're working on cookie right now but since she already says it I guess it's kind of pointless right?
