My Rant Against British
Soldiers In Red Uniforms
Note: I have absolutely no problem with British soldiers, past and present. I'm only complaining about what they wear, not the soldiers themselves.
Do you ever become extremely annoyed whenever you see that red uniform with the white X? Well, I do. I know this topic is the most random thing to complain about, but I can't help it! I watch the History Channel a lot and I've seen all of these programs about the American Revolution. I know the documentary wouldn't be complete without showing the British military (duh!), but those uniforms...ugh! It's not that they're ugly or anything. It's just that whenever I see them, I always think about how idiotic the guy was who designed them. Whose idea was it anyway to make a bright red uniform for the military? I mean, seriously! Those soldiers had to go into combat wearing BRIGHT RED!!! Yup, I'm pretty sure they were camouflaged so well that the enemy couldn't detect them. In fact, back then the British were the best snipers! Wait...they didn't even have snipers back then, did they? In fact, if I remember correctly, the British considered guerrilla warfare "barbaric." Barbaric, eh? Well, war itself isn't exactly the most civilized idea that human beings of any culture have come up with. However, if you have to fight a war, at least do it as efficiently as possible. Did it ever occur to those soldiers that they were being killed off faster because of their proper English manners on the battlefield? Gosh, if they were too appalled to shoot someone from behind a tree, couldn't they have at least redesigned their uniforms? A not so bright color, perhaps? They could've also taken off the white X, which by the way, probably made a great bull's eye target.

Alright. I'm done now. I have finished ranting about British soldiers in red uniforms.

Don't even let me get started on the black
fur hats that modern palace gaurds wear...
