| Pokemon: Fire Red/Leaf Green Nintendo Plans to Release Original Two Pokemon Games on Gameboy Advance With Great New Graphics! They did it with Mario. They did it with Zelda. They did it with Donkey Kong, Kirby, and Metroid. Who's missing? Pikachu, of course! Yes, Nintendo has announced that they will be releasing the original Pokemon games for the original Gameboy system on Gameboy Advance. What's better, is the games have all improved graphics fit for the GBA standards. Although we have no release date (probably early 2004 in Japan) in North America, we do have screenshots galore! The Gameboy Advance has about the graphics capacity of a Super Nintendo, and so, Pokemon naturally looks amazing! The original two games released again in full color and stepped up graphics sounds just like a walk down memory lane with brand new scenery all about. Okay, so, if they're the original games, why call it Leaf Green? Remember, these are the titles translated directly from Japenese, and in Japan, they had Pokemon Green in the place of Pokemon Blue (they did have Blue, but later). Here it might be . . . who knows what Nintendo will call 'em? My point is, they ARE the same games, remastered. I wouldn't be surprised if they threw in some extras just for us who played the original originals, though! |
| Pokemon Collesium Pre-Order Offer Pre-Ordering the latest Pokemon Gamecube game gets players a rare gift. At participating stores, trainers who pre-order the new game "Pokemon Collesium" - due out March 25th - and place a $5 deposit down will receive a special bonus disc with a game preview and a trailer for the sixth Pokemon movie! "Yipee" I hear you all cry as you roll your eyes. Well, don't eye-roll quite yet. It may seem all you're getting is trailers, but Nintendo has thrown in something special. Something rare. Jirachi. Yes! Placing $5 on the game gets you the disc, with a downloadable Jirachi. You must have a Gamecube - Gamebody Advance Link Cable in order to get the Jirachi off the disc and into your Ruby/Sapphire game, but once you have it, it's yours to keep. It starts at Lv. 5 (*gasp!*) but don't fear. Jirachi shows up like a traded Pokemon - it gains boosted experience points. I raised it fifty full levels in two days, so it certainly doesn't take long for it to match your other Pokemon. Jirachi also has a few moves exclusive to it. A delightful Pokemon - and even if you don't have the Link Cable, you might someday. For $5, Jirachi is one Pokemon worth getting. |
