Give Me A Sign! Photographing the Pokemon Signs
Do you need Pokemon enlightenment? Search out the six Pokemon Signs, and you will be rewarded! Uh . . . are you not the type to play many games that require puzzle-solving strategy? That's okay. This'll help.
The Six Pokemon Signs: I think seven always sounded more mystical, but whatever. Here are all six Pokemon signs and how to find them. #1 - Kingler Rock The Beach A group of rocks on the Beach Course opposite of Pikachu's surfboard reminds Professor Oak of a Kingler. If you actually needed my help with finding this one, well . . . sad . . . #2 - Pinsir Shadow The Tunnel This took me FOREVER to completely figure this out. When you play the Pokeflute for the Pikachu near the yellow egg, it will Thundershock it and a Zapdos will be born. Zapdos will shock the generator (great photo op!) and power it up. Now, zoom to the room where Pikachu and Diglett play together (adorable, aren't they?) and look for an odd assortment of wires and rocks on the ground with a spotlight in front of them. If the generator is still running (it WILL shut off! I learned that the hard way!) the spotlight will cast light on the wires and create a shadow in the shape of a Pinsir. #3 - Koffing Smoke The Volcano When you first enter the level, and are nearly trampled by a Rapidash, you will see a volcano on your left. Toss a Pester Ball into the crater (I discovered this when I was bored and decided to play a game of basketball with a Pester Ball and a crater of magma for no particular reason . . .) and a puff of purple smoke will rise from it. The puff looks oddly like a Koffing. #4 - Cubone Tree The River Just before you enter the cave full of Metapod that hang from the roof, you'll pass a Vileplume with stinky yellow powder coming out of it's flower. It's asleep, so puzzle-solvers will get this no problem. If you're not a puzzle-solver, I'll give you the answer. Play a catchy tune on the Pokeflute to make Vileplume wake up and begin to boogie! As it dances, it will stop spewing toxic gases into the atmosphere and clear the view of the tree behind it. It resembles a Cubone. Wouldn't you figure a Vileplume would just happen to fall asleep and do the stinky-pollen thing in front of the very tree you wish to photograph? #5 - Constelation Mewtwo The Cave In the large room with the Koffing-abused Jigglypuff you'll see a group of wierd star-shapes apparently floating in mid-air. Just because you're curious and camera-happy, you'll snap a picture of the stars. When the picture is developed - gasp! - it looks like Mewtwo! #6 - Mt. Dugtrio The Valley It's pretty much the first thing you look at when you are plunked into the river. The mountains have curiously eroded over millions of years into a perfect replica of Dugtrio. Isn't nature amazing? Now, show Professor Oak all your pictures and he will open up a secret course featuring an extremely rare, and nearly impossible to photograph, Pokemon! Yay! Back
