Hi!  This is a page where I can tell you a little bit about me.  Let's see . . . where to begin?  Ah, my name's a good place.  My name is Krista.  I live in a small city about an hour from Toronto, Ontario.  Yes, I am Canadian.  Oh, hang on . . . my igloo's melting . . . there.  I'm a Pisces (that's the two fish that circle each-other) and, in the Chinese zodiac, a Snake.  I'm supposedly wise, intelectual, and courageous ^_^.
My favourite foods are pizza, pasta (ah, Italy!) Spicy Doritoes, and Krispy Kreme donuts.  My favourite song is "Holding Out for a Hero" by Bonnie Tyler, from waaaaay back in 1986, but I really like all types of music and so many songs I could spend an entire page listing them (see some to the right).  I'm pretty passive, as I don't like to make a huge fuss, but if you actually manage to tick me off . . . duck . . .  My native background is Latvian (vikings!!!!  ARGH!!!!) and Metis (French + Iriquois - who were a very VERY war-like tribe in western Canada) so I am VERY scary when angry! ^__^  I am extremely sarcastic, in case you haven't caught on yet.  Also, in case you haven't guessed, I like taking character tests.  (Who doesn't?) See if they match what I say about myself- and learn some more about me, as the descriptions match as well as they can, I guess.  *Ahem* anyways, I'm also stubborn, so don't try to make me do something I don't wanna do.
Trainer's Eyes
I'm in ninth grade at a High School nearby.  My favourite things to study are visual arts, dramatic arts, story writing - just don't tell me what genre I have to write - world history, and folklore.  I love folklore.  While I especially love Egyptian (Re, Osiris, Horus, etc.) Greco-Roman (Zeus/Jupitor, Ares/Mars, Posiedon/Neptune, etc.), and Celtic (King Arthur, Finn MacCool, etc.) folklore, I'll read pretty much and myth and/or legend I can lay my hands on.  Studies I dispise?  Track & Field.   Run run run run run run run run pass out.  Gymnastics.  I am not 4 foot nothing and 27 pounds; I cannot flip myself three times over the stupid parallel bars.  Fractions.  They are my archenemies who will not die!  If you want some entertainment, put some fractions down in front of me and watch me break out the Tylanol two minutes in for a chronic headache.  If you're lucky, you may even witness me hurl my textbook - which weighs, like, fifty billion tons and could easly cause a concussion - across the room and hit some unsuspecting person who walked into it's flight path.
I guess you could say I always have my head in the clouds.  I'm a chronic daydreamer, and I don't really fit in with any crowd.  I looooove fantasy stories.  Many (if not, all) of my favourite anythings revolve around fantasy (not the talking animals kind; the swords and magic kind).  My favourite movie is "The Lord of the Rings" but I can't pick between the Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers - they're both fantastic.  I can actually quote the movies.  My favourite Characters are . . . *drumroll* . . . Legolas and Aragorn!  Yaaaaay!  (I stake official claims on both of them)  My favourite actors are, big huge surprise, Orlando Bloom and Viggo Mortenson, who played Legolas and Aragorn.  I go really pathetically mushy for a good, old-fashioned hero . . . *sigh*
A fantasy novel is pretty much a permanent attatchment to my nose.  I love Robert Jordan's "The Wheel of Time" series, which currently consists of eleven, thousand-or-so page books.  I also like T.A Barron's "The Lost Years of Merlin" which is only five books of two-hundred pages or so.  And then there''s Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings."  Of course, I've read the series.
While I'm along these lines, I love fatasy/rpg's along the video game lines.  In this genre, which does not include Pokemon, my favourite series are The Legend of Zelda and Golden Sun.  My favourite game is by far Ocarina of Time, and I would love for there to be a Zelda movie.

I think my greatest talent is my ability to imagine and fantisize.  I bring this talent out in my ability to write and develope plotlines and characters.  I love writing, and I think imagination is something everyone has, but many choose to ignore.
My all-time favourite Pokemon games are Crystal and Sapphire.  My favourite Pokemon is Jigglypuff.  I always start with the Fire type at the start of a game (unless it's Yellow; then I get Pikachu whether I like it or not)  I'm undefeated in Sapphire - I have never lost a battle! - but the hardest battle I've ever battled was Saffron Gym in Pokemon Yellow, back when Sabrina had Abra, Kadabra, and Alakazam all with Recover!  Aaah!  *Ahem* anyways, I think Hey, You, Pikachu is an ingenious game and that no one should give it a bad rep.  It's great.  I once had my entire class debating how Pokemon was pronunced; they thought it was "Pokieman."
I'm a true-blue Nintendo fan.  The Legend of Zelda, Mario, Golden Sun, Kirby, Star Fox, Donkey Kong, Banjo-Kazooie, Animal Crossing, and Super Smash Bros are my favourite series.

FAVOURITE QUOTES:

"This is beyond my skill to heal." -Aragorn (LOTR)
"Flatter me and I may not believe you, critisize me and I may not like you, ignore me and I may not forgive you, encourage me and I will not forget you."

"You seem somewhat familliar . . . have I threatened you before?" -Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbean)
"The real hero is a hero by mistake - they dream of being an honest coward like everybody else."
"Courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyways."
My Character Test Results . . .
Why would you possibly care?  I dunno, maybe you're curious what Pokemon I am . . .  There are also Keeper badges here.  If you don't know what that is, and you want to, go see.  If not, don't.
