| It all started when Hotaru's mother died when she was very young. One day while her father, Doctor Tomoe, was showing some scientists one of his creations, Hotaru (who was leaning against the glass to get a better look) asked her father what was wrong with his creation, since it seemed to be getting out of control. The creation blew up, killing Hotaru. A dark force then appeared, and told Doctor Tomoe that he would save Hotaru's life if he would let the dark force take over his body, which Doctor Tomoe agreed to. He and Hotaru were the only people that survived that fire. Hotaru then moved into a large house with Doctor Tomoe and his flirty assistent, Kaorinite. Kaorinite was mean to Hotaru and picked on her and made fun of her. Hotaru hated Kaori-Nite with a passion, and she made Hotaru looked evil in front of Pluto, Uranus and Neptune. Only Serena and Rini looked pass Hotaru's odd behavior. Rini, Hotaru's best friend, met Hotaru when she and the other Inner Senshi go to visit a famous movie star. Suddenly, Rini's new hat that Darien gave her flies off her head and Hotaru catches it for her. Rini and Hotaru become best friends. Hotaru is a good friend, but there is some evil force inside of her. Since Sailor Saturn is the soldier of destruction, the outer scouts want to destroy Hotaru before she has the chance to destroy Earth. Uranus and Neptune had the chance to destroy her once, but Sailor Mercury stopped them and explained that it was the evil heart snatchers that were controlling Hotaru, and that deep down Hotaru is a kind hearted girl. It seems that Pluto is the only outer sailor scout that trusts Rini when she says that Hotaru is good, even if Hotaru is the Sailor Scout of destruction. Well, anyways, Hotaru got kidnapped by Kaorinite and was brought to Dr. Tomoe's lab. The Sailor Scouts soon followed. But when they got there, Hotaru was getting ready to swallow Rini's sugary pink heart crystal (the evil was controlling her). Once Hotaru did this, she became the Sovereign of Silence (more commonly known as Mistress 9). The scouts brought Rini to Darien's place. By using his energy, he was able to keep her alive. Serena and the rest of the scouts went back to Muugen School with Sailor Pluto, Sailor Uranus, and Sailor Neptune. Mistress 9 had built a force field around the school so the scouts could not get in. Mistress 9's hand came out of nowhere and grabbed Sailor Moon, leaving the rest of the inner senshi behind. There was a star-shaped opening at the top of the force field, so Sailor Pluto stopped time. That was, Sailor Uranus and Neptune could get inside. After that, Pluto disappeared. While inside, Mistress 9 tricked Sailor Moon into giving her the Purity Chalice (Uranus and Neptune were tied up at the moment.). Mistress 9 gave the Chalice to Pharoh 90, making him powerful. But the darkness inside of Mistress Nine was defeated by Sailor Saturn. Sailor Saturn then went inside of Pharoh 90 to try and destroy it. The scouts then gave Sailor Moon their energy so she could be able to transform into Super Sailor Moon even without the Purity Chalice. Pharoh 90 was destroyed, and Hotaru was reborn so that she and Doctor Tomoe could start over from the beginning and grow up in a peaceful Tokyo. |
