1st Pinhoe Guides
Another enjoyment is to spend a weekend at Bowermans Cottage, which is a cottage owned by Devon Guides on the edge of Dartmoor. During our weekend stays, we go for short walks around the lanes and on the edge of the moor.  We also do many crafts and activities.  We have a Guides' Own from the top of Easdon Tor, where we also collect letterboxes. If you don't know what letterboxes are on Dartmoor then you will have to contact us to find out!

2005 has been a difficult year for our unit, we have unfortunately had changes with our  leaders, welcomed new ones, and are now busy building up the new team and the unit.
However, saying this, we have had a busy year, spending a lot of time on Go For It's and doing our World of Guiding badge.   We celebrated with the District for Thinking Day, having an evening of fun, games and food from around the world.
We attended St George's Day parade in April, delivered Christian Aid envelopes, had a talk about the Lifeboat, had a District Sports evening, helped clean our local Church during Church Work Week, had a bbq cookout in the school grounds and finished the summer term off with a trip to Haven Banks for an evening of Canoeing, Bell Boating and going up the climing wall.
The Autumn Term has seen us doing Ice Skating and Swimming at Plymouth Pavilions, attend the joint scout and guide camp at Caddihoe.  We have also been busy working on the Multi-Cultural Badge.  In October, we had an excellent week with the Division at Barton Hall, Torquay
