Punchout http://www.geocities.com/pingosimon/pingosimon-punchout.mp3

The fighting music from PUNCHOUT for NES.  2 string basses, 2 violins.  This is my first recording in which I played the violins myself.

Devil's Lab http://www.hugeass.org/~andre/Mix-DevilsLab.mp3

The song from the Magitek Factory in Final Fantasy 6. I used the original SPC drums, electric bass, electric guitar, keyboard, and 2 violins. Infinite thanks to Valerie for recording the violins!

 Point Loma Concert mp3s (November 12th 2003)

Gau's Theme http://www.hugeass.org/~andre/PointLoma-GausTheme.mp3

Gau's Theme from Final Fantasy 6. This song is me on string bass, Melissa on violin and Leticia on piano (April helped hand me my electric bass mid-song)

Castlevania Medley 1, 2, 3, 4

Levels 3, 2, 1 and 5 (I think) from Castlevania for the NES.  A lot of inspiration from The Minibosses for the medley. I basically added a piano part to levels 3, 2 and 1, and we just covered level 5. The 4 parts are a medley, so they're meant to be played as one big song.

Legend of Zelda http://www.hugeass.org/~andre/PointLoma-Zelda.mp3

A standard cover of the Zelda title screen! It's about the same as the original, but I added piano chords to the background.

Fugue in G minor http://www.hugeass.org/~andre/Mix-fugueingminor.mp3

Bach's Little Fugue in G minor! I kinda tweaked the string orchestra arrangment and recorded it with 3 gutiar tracks and 2 bass tracks.

Mega Man Stage Intro

A Capella: http://www.hugeass.org/~andre/Mix-MMIntroVoice.mp3

My voice recorded 3 times

Guitar: http://www.hugeass.org/~andre/MMIntro.mp3

3 guitars, 2 basses, strings, and SPC drum track.

Fart: http://www.hugeass.org/~andre/MegaManFart.mp3

My voice 3 times, plus samples of TWO real farts!

The Valerie Choral

The Ants go Marching

3 bass tracks. One bowed track and the plucked track are in unison, the other bowed track playes the lead. It's out of tune at times because bass is so hard to play.

Prelude in D minor

I kinda made this up, but then its kinda heavily inspired by the first movement of Dancing Mad from FF6. It's about 6 bass tracks. I think I could have done it in 5, but splitting some parts made it easier.

Storm Eagle

Psychology class was cancelled so I made this! Itís the original drum track, electric bass, and 3 guitar tracks. I only had a couple hours to do this so theres little timing errors and stuff but oh well.

Castlevania level 3

A bunch of fires closed all the schools in San Digeo, so I actually had time to make a quality recording! itís the original drum track, 1 electric bass, 3 electric guitars, and the really fast fills are MIDI (I finally figured out how to use it).

Gau's Theme:

I redid Gau's theme! This is almost exactly like the original, but recorded with real instruments.

For the intro I bowed the bass, the acoustic guitar plays arpeggeios, and the electric guitar plays little chords. For the second half, Valerie plays the violin part (recorded twice), acoustic guitar plays the arpeggios, electric bass plays the bass notes, electric guitar plays the little chords, and the keyboard (strings) play those background strings.

For the bass and violin, I attached a pickup onto the instrument, plugged it into the amp, and recorded with a microphone. Im still not sure if this is better than recording directlyÖmy pre-amp isnt too good. Anyway, listen and give feedback!

 Arpeggios: http://www.geocities.com/pingosimon/Mix-Arpeggios.mp3

This is my sweep picking skills at work! I made up the lead part awhile ago and added chords and drums to it.

Tetris A Capella: http://www.geocities.com/pingosimon/Mix-TetrisVoice.mp3
