Kenwood KDC-MP628

Overview - Specs - Image - - $244.99

Kenwood's KDC-MP628 is just about everything you could want a CD receiver to be: it sounds great, looks sharp, and plays a wide range of formats!

The first thing you'll appreciate is the motorized, detachable faceplate with its large, easy-to-read multicolor display — you won't have to strain your eyes to keep tabs on your system. It offers up several full-motion graphics modes that'll catch the eyes of all your passengers. This, of course, is just the icing.

Just about everyone these days offers MP3 and WMA playback. But with the KDC-MP628, Kenwood goes a step further — it'll even play the tracks you've ripped from CD and converted into AAC files. And a wireless remote is included for convenient file navigation and system control from anywhere in the vehicle.

Everything you listen to will sound fantastic, thanks to the combination of MOSFET power (22 watts RMS/50 peak x 4) and the extensive System Q sound controls (with its 3-band equalizer). If you add external amps to the two sets of preamp outputs for even more power, you can make sure their performance is enhanced with System E's Advanced Crossover.

Built-in controls let you connect an optional SIRIUS or XM Satellite Radio tuner. Just add the appropriate antenna and a subscription, and dive into over 120 channels of music, news, sports, entertainment, and a whole lot more. You can also enhance your conventional radio reception by adding a Kenwood HD Radio tuner. HD Radio service (where available) offers improved FM and AM sound quality, plus information extras on the display.
