Wanda McKaskle
She has served as the President as well as other positions on the Board of Directors. Wanda currently holds the certification as Certified Director for Sweet Adeline's International. She spends a good deal of her time traveling to music education classes to bring back new and fun learning styles for the chorus as well as being the full time director for Piney Hills Harmony Chorus in Ruston, LA.
Wanda began directing the Piney Hills Harmony Chorus in 1999. Her constant support, coaching and musical skills have helped to take the chorus from 8th place to 1st place in Regional competition over the last five years. Our scores have come up 150 points and our classification has changed from C- to B-, which is a huge accomplishment for the chorus. Worldwide we are also 4th out of over 600 choruses over the last 4 years in the most improved division.
Wanda continually strives to make us the best we can be. "It is truly a joy to direct this chorus. We have a wonderful group of women who always work together in harmony. I want us to be the very best chorus in this region and so we paractice hard and have a fun time doing it. You will come try us out because you love to sing and you will stay because you love the comraderie of the group. A lot has been said and sung about our friendship and music. They go together, locked into one another in a special bond of happiness for us and for those in our audience."
