Wasta was a stray that came into the Humane Society of the Black Hills, Rapid City, SD on January 30, 2003. He is a English Springer Spaniel/Border Collie cross, a beautiful boy. It was there that he was named Wasta, the Lakota Sioux word meaning "good." His time on earth was running out when members of the English Springer Rescue America and a few other "angels" took over his future! February 20th he left the BHHS to start his new life. He was pulled from the humane society.
He was delivered to Phillip, SD by 2 really special ladies - Laura and Shelley - to Dave, he works rescueing Brittanys, and he brought him to us. Thanks so much Brian, Laura, Shelley and Dave. I really owe you a big favor! Wasta came to our home on March 2, 2003, he was going to be "fostered" by us until he found his forever home.
Well...
Wasta was in our home for a very short time as a foster, he now has a forever home with us. His adoption was final Friday April 11, 2003! We hope to have many happy years with this guy.He truely is the best dog!
He loves attention, belly rubs, going for rides and walks too. He gets along well with all the rabbits (even the house rabbit) and he even travels to rabbit shows with us... He is very spoiled and loved by everyone that meets him.
If you have ever given thought to adding a dog to your life, please consider a shelter/rescue dog. I highly recommend the ESRA! |
